@Rah2f447642@DavidHa04461705@rav_man0 It was a joke highlighting the obvious flaw in only considering h2h when determining who is greater on a surface. Of course Djokovic is better than Alcaraz, at least at this stage. In the same way Federer is more accomplished than Djokovic despite h2h.
@robolivermd@rav_man0 19>8, 8>7. All that matters in determining grass and Wimbledon goat. If Federer led the hardcourt h2h 20-18 instead of trailing 18-20 I doubt you’d call him hardcourt goat with fewer hardcourt titles and majors…
@robolivermd@rav_man0 You said the only criteria is h2h, the other stuff is immaterial, otherwise Fed is grass goat. So sorry mate Carlos and Murray have Novak covered.
@robolivermd@rav_man0 Also per that logic Alcaraz is the better grass player if h2h is the only argument. All hail grass goat Charlie! Or is it Murray, he’s also 2-0 against Djokovic on grass.
@Miguelcmm1@LaBombaBautista He’s statistically the best tiebreak player in history, and has come back from 0-2 down to win more times than Djokovic and Nadal, and has saved match points to win more times than them too. He’s had more insanely clutch times and a few unclutch. People focus on the latter more.
@PReign54192@effigenius@djokerprime Djokovic ruled out then, he had his fair share of chokes. He was so tight when he lost all those slam finals in 2012-13, 2021 going for the calendar slam was a train wreck too. Botched 2023 Wimbledon too. It happens even to the greats.
@robolivermd@rav_man0 Federer has more Wimbledon titles, more grass titles, more finals, higher grass win percentage, longest winning streaks…aside from a narrow losing h2h against Djokovic he has literally every other factor. Djokovic may change this over the next few seasons but it’s Federer now
