TY to @SecretaryPete & @USDOT for holding @SouthwestAir accountable! We were stranded for 3 days in DIA w/ baby + lost both luggage & stroller; Never made it to SJC & shelled out $$$ for hotel, rental car, clothes, food, diapers, and return @UnitedAirlines_ tickets. What a mess.

@TomFlorian1 Thanks—very sweet of you. We bought tickets on @UnitedAirlines_ home tonight (at our own expense). I sure hope @SouthwestAir is planning on compensating for the $$$ we laid out in Denver + our ruined trip. Meanwhile we have family in JAX too—will need to connect on this sometime!

USDOT is concerned by Southwest’s unacceptable rate of cancellations and delays & reports of lack of prompt customer service. The Department will examine whether cancellations were controllable and if Southwest is complying with its customer service plan.

@united literally you made our plane wait two hours, board a second time, to be deplaned when it was never legal to have that second flight crew fly us. Which was known before you assigned them to fly us. This is unacceptable.
