I really wish people would stop acting like "but what will we do about the rapists" isn't an extremely difficult problem. It IS, it's just that our current "solutions" aren't solutions. Prisons are rape factories, they don't stop rape, they move it and increase it.
The finale focuses on Caine and Jax because it lays out the two possible ways someone with toxic tendencies can go about their lives. Jax remains stuck in a cycle of self-hatred and denial. Caine gains self-knowledge and begins the road to change. Neither are forgiven.
@Suzierizzo1 If anything it was educational. There’s nothing wrong with seeing diff peoples anatomy in an innocent scenario like a bathroom or locker room where everyone is minding their own business. Good opportunity to teach ur kids not to stare too lol
@Suzierizzo1 I think it’s fine whichever restroom dad chooses to take his girls but it’s weird ppl in the comments here are lauding him for making sure his girls didn’t have to see penises. I went to the men’s locker room with my dad as a kid& nothing bad happened
The ironic thing is the dad wouldnt be in the wrong no matter which restroom he took them to, but becuz grey shirt dude caused a hoopla, dad started filming in a restroom which im p sure is super not allowed
This father was on a road trip with his two young daughters & they needed to go to the restroom so he stopped at a QT & took them in the women’s restroom since no one was in it & a man came yelling at him to get out & called the cops. The girls were crying & then he assaulted him.
"There is something absurd about being told that footage of your destroyed neighborhood violates community standards, while the destruction itself continues uninterrupted. Something darkly funny about an app warning you that your post about a massacre is “too violent,” as if the violence begins with the image and not the act. The platform is offended—not by death, but by its documentation." -Taqwa Ahmed Alwawi
@hellspatisserie I find it very worrying that a lot of young people have migrated towards "dehumanisation is fine as long as the person I'm doing it to is bad enough" rather than sticking with "dehumanisation is the weapon of fascism, and I refuse to stoop to the level of a fascist."
The most urgent lesson from my book and my several years of studying propaganda is this: it's imperative that you get every well-meaning person you care about in your life to stop consuming mainstream news. There is a relentless war to shape people's brains so that they are okay with a world of enormous but preventable suffering and resigned to a world with nowhere near as much flourishing as human beings deserve.
@bloodbtch@Etanarachel What do/did you think catcalling is? That’s the definition of catcalling, when men yell at you on the street cause they’re attracted to you.
More than okay really, Gooseworx and her team accomplished something genuinely unbelievable and it coming out with only a few dents and scratches is a miracle
@CosmicLass@cringecoalition@Le_Unorthodox It’s not that it’s that long, but it’s long enough that people rly interested and hankering for more will turn to theorizing&imagining a much more complicated story than what it turns out being.
@thechosenberg I get that this q is trying to gauge how accountable the candidate holds themself but a better method is to ask about a real event, like “what’s a mistake you’ve made in the past at work and how did you fix it/how would you avoid it next time?” Fuck vague hypotheticals
@DoomerTapes@thechosenberg The problem with your approach is how do you know it’s not a trick question? Cuz if I were interviewing someone and asked that and they demeaned themselves by saying that id think “ok so this person is a liar”
@jasperhideshere “Awkward laughing” you sure it wasn’t genuine laughter? I laughed as well along with the rest of the theater goers at my theater and it didn’t sound awkward. Personally I thought it was a funny joke that caught me off guard during a serious scene
Hey guys, Kevin, CEO of GLITCH here. Been trying to figure out when and how to express this, but now I think is the right time:
To the fans - Thank you, deeply. You are the reason we got here. I know it can get noisy online sometimes, but the real-world reality is that you are some of the most genuine, kind people we have ever had the privilege of meeting. We saw every cosplay, every discussion circle, every sticker shared outside the theatres. That is what this is all about.
To every person at/with GLITCH - I never doubted you for a single second. You are all so incredibly talented, and I am so proud that the impact of your work is now being felt on a world stage.
To the industry - Animation and cinema is art. Art is human expression. Digital Circus was a deeply personal story created to express complex feelings. Please let that be the signal you take from all of this.
To everyone - Keep making things and keep sharing your work. We found all our creators through the internet.
