#Lismore Mayor Steve Krieg back behind the coffee machine this morning. He lost his home and his business, but continues to be a great voice for our town.
PM @ScottMorrisonMP has acknowledged the pain and anger of locals while announcing three Northern Rivers LGAs will get extra support in light of the flood catastrophe. It appears the Tweed, Byron, Ballina and Kyogle areas have been overlooked.

@LianaAnitra was on the ground in Mullumbimby yesterday. Here's her piece on how a town stranded in a telecommunications blackhole are digging themselves out of a flood catastrophe. https://t.co/DBJbwgQCiF

Heartbroken for the team, students and families from Richmond River High. I was due to fly in today and spend the rest of the week in Lismore. The school is 3 stories high - all under water. Buildings can be repaired, minds might take a little longer. Sending love.
The NSW SES has placed all flood-prone areas of the Northern Rivers on high alert with flood evacuation warnings. Evac orders have been issued for numerous towns.
Authorities say Lismore could see flooding similar to the 1974 levels. Evacuation orders in place for Lismore, low-lying parts of Kyogle, Wiangaree, South Murwillumbah, Condong, low-lying areas of Coraki, Billinudgel, Ocean Shores and surrounds.

The bond between a police dog and their handler is like no other, and for Senior Constable McGreevy, PD Quizz is a considered part of his family💙🐾
Anyone with information about Quizz’s whereabouts is asked to come forward immediately.
Tim took a first PCR test last Wednesday in another town and he's still waiting on the result from that. He's been sleeping in his truck near the border while in limbo, for so long his battery died overnight.
At 5am on Christmas morning, Tim Phillips was a long way from home and standing in line for a Covid-19 test in Tweed Heads. This was his second attempt to get across the border to get vital agricultural supplies. https://t.co/IqAIgPXk4y

10 of these cases are being cared for in hospital, with 3 of these in ICU.
