We still working on figuring out what minority group to blame for not voting hard enough to counter the 50-70 million white Americans or so who voted for the nazi?

I live in WV and the state has been showered with funding and there are factories popping up everywhere and the state has 1b surplus and dems defended pensions and black lung funding and they voted 70% for Trump so shut the fuck up

I'll keep saying it. Look at the devastating impact of right-wing media lies and disinformation on our democracy. People live on Earth 3. False perceptions shape our reality.

PSA: Not everyone has 2 incomes. Not everyone has help. Not everyone has money saved up in a savings account to fall back on. Every parent does not have a reliable babysitter or vehicle.

Some people only have themselves. Some people live paycheck to paycheck. These people also deserve respect and grace. This world is cruel enough as it is. Don’t add to someone’s plate unless it's help. No one needs negativity added on.

Show kindness. Most of us are already doing our absolute best.

Please share our story with any undecided voter you may know.

I Was MAGA. Why Am I Voting Solely for Democratic Candidates?

For seven years, I was an unapologetic member of MAGA nation. If someone had told me then that I would be addressing the 2024 Democratic National Convention to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, I would have considered it a personal affront.

Here’s the reality: 𝟏 𝐢𝐧 𝟒 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩. That’s not an exaggeration—I counted. And it gets worse. My daughter's opponent arrived late, visibly unwell, and admitted to vomiting twice before the match. Throughout their game, she dry heaved repeatedly and even appeared to throw up into a bag on the court. Shockingly, there’s no @usta rule addressing this, but in @ibjjf, vomiting is an instant disqualification—it’s a primal “I’m tapping out” signal from the body.

The first round was outside. The second and third? Indoors. My wife, daughter and I wore respirators, bracing ourselves for judgmental looks. And they came. When she pointed out kids staring at her, I turned around just in time to see one of those kids cough directly into her dad’s face.

The most haunting part? The parents. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦, 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭. Apathy in the midst of a germ storm.

To be even more specific, I'm talking to White women in particular because it still makes no good fucking sense that 53% of them voted for a self proclaimed sexual predator. Stop it.

David’s a conservative pastor in East TN and a close friend of our daughter-in-law. They’ve been working together for years, in an effort to combat loneliness and to forge meaningful connection and community across difference.

David’s a lifelong Republican. We disagree on a lot of issues, and have very different voting records to prove it. But this year, David’s voting for Kamala.

We share a belief that America’s multifaith, multiracial, ideologically diverse makeup is a design feature, not a flaw. We think it’s a feature worth preserving.

We’ll go back to debating our disagreements after Tuesday. For now, we’re voting to preserve and protect the right to disagree.

Share this with everyone you know who might resonate with David’s story, and thanks to every person who’s choosing to put country over party right now.

#CovidIsNotOver This is my 15th semester teaching RN and NP students about Covid 19 pathophysiology. Not a lot has changed except for how much damage we now know the virus causes. It still baffles me that people don’t know it’s airborne, don’t know the risks. 1
