Sri Lanka has ratified United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child @UNCRC

That means the articles specifies in this convention are applicable in Sri Lankan law as well.

But what does this actually mean?

Our second beach clean up was held in Dehiwala Beach on 21st May 2023 where we collected over 30kg of trash including polythene, single use plastics, rubber etc.

30 bags of PET bottles
11 bags of Beer cans
22kg of single use plastic and polythene
5kg of glass
30.5 bags of other trash items such as rigiform, fishing nets, rope etc.

As a relief to fellow citizens who are severely affected by the current economic crisis, the Liberal Fellowship is providing coordinated support to the community kitchen run by the Gangarama Temple based on five GS divisions around Slave Island area.
