Things that triggered the left this week:
- a clean reflecting pool
- a name on a building
- a murderer getting convicted of murder
- a sporting event at the White House
- a successful IPO
- welders and janitors becoming millionaires
It's people like @SummerForPA that have nearly radicalized me into being a one-issue voter: voting for whatever keeps Jewish Americans safe. Because her "genocide" blood libel killed Karen Diamond in Boulder and Yaron and Sarah in DC, and nearly killed a synagogue and school full of Jewish children in Michigan.
MLK would reject @SummerForPA as an antisemite emphatically and with disgust.
I met Ben once. We were seated at the same dinner table.
At first, we did not recognise each other. Neither of us had any idea we would end up at the same table.
I asked him where I knew him from. He replied, “Ben, from Ben & Jerry’s.”
I smiled and said, “Nice to meet you. I’m Alex, Deputy Consul General of Israel to the Southeastern United States.”
This was at the height of the Ben & Jerry’s Israel controversy. I decided not to raise politics, out of respect for our gracious host. But I was also biding my time, because I suspected he would not be able to resist bringing it up.
About an hour into dinner, he came over to talk.
I saw it as an opportunity to understand where he was coming from, to explain a few things, and to keep the conversation as civil as possible. And to be fair, it was civil. He was pleasant, curious, and polite.
But quite quickly, I also realised he was completely ignorant about Israel.
He had never visited the country or the region. He had basic facts wrong, not only about the narrative, but about the foundations of the conflict itself: the makeup of the countries involved, the history, and the deeply rooted reasons each side sees the conflict the way it does.
For him, it was simple: there are people who appear oppressed, so someone must be the oppressor.
I do not blame Ben personally. He is a businessman who sells ice cream. Why should he be expected to understand Israel, the Middle East, or geopolitics?
The real problem is with those who treat him as an authority.
The media gives him a pedestal to speak about issues he clearly does not understand. And that is the absurdity of it all: taking an ice cream salesman and presenting him as a voice of moral clarity on one of the most complex conflicts in the world.
Can we stop the delusional minimizing for five seconds? I’m so fucking sick of Harvey Levin and the rest of the left trying to paint Spencer Pratt as some talentless reality star with zero substance. Girl, bye.
Spencer graduated from USC with a Political Science degree. He pitched, co-created, and executive produced The Princes of Malibu for Fox. He was a core part of The Hills — one of the biggest reality shows ever — which ran for 6 seasons with a 2021 reboot. That’s more than most of these keyboard warriors will ever accomplish.
When the Palisades fires burned his house, his parents’ house, and his entire community to the ground — all thanks to Bass and Newsom’s criminal incompetence — Karen Bass was too busy lounging in Ghana. Meanwhile, Spencer jumped on TikTok, documented the nightmare in real time, and made sure no one forgot the gross negligence destroying lives.
And while processing that trauma? He took Heidi Montag’s 15-year-old album Superficial and turned it into a global phenomenon — #1 on iTunes, #2 on Billboard Dance, charting across the UK and Europe. That’s hustle, darling. That’s a man stepping up for his wife and kids when everything’s literally on fire.
Meanwhile, Bass is out here handing out needles to addicts, rolling out the red carpet for illegals, abandoning the homeless, and “misplacing” billions in taxpayer dollars. She’s turned LA into zombie apocalypse central while stuffing her pockets and chasing clout — zero fucks given about actual Californians.
So spare me the “he’s just a reality star” nonsense, Harvey. Spencer Pratt showed real character and decency by fighting for his community when it mattered. You? You built your empire stalking, harassing, and gossiping about celebrities. Look in the mirror before you open your mouth next time, honey. Nothing to be proud of.
Respect to Spencer. The rest of y’all can stay pressed. ✌️
JENSEN HUANG CALLED OUT EVERY CEO WHO’S BEEN FIRING PEOPLE “BECAUSE OF AI.”
JIM CRAMER ASKED HIM WHY COMPANIES ARE LAYING PEOPLE OFF IF AI IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE EVERYONE MORE PRODUCTIVE.
JENSEN’S RESPONSE:
“FOR COMPANIES WITH IMAGINATION, YOU WILL DO MORE WITH MORE.
FOR COMPANIES WHERE THE LEADERSHIP IS JUST OUT OF IDEAS, THEY HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO.
THEY HAVE NO REASON TO IMAGINE BEYOND WHAT THEY ARE TODAY.
WHEN THEY GAIN MORE CAPABILITY, THEY DON’T DO MORE.”
Disgusting antisemitic rhetoric. Republican and Democrat, Florida and nationwide — we have to call this kind of hatred out when we see it.
I hope national Democrats agree that this is completely unacceptable.
