Had a wealthy friend tell me that the ability to decrease time to any outcome is the one skill behind every successful person he knows.
A few I apply constantly:
- Decreasing the time it takes you to get out of a bad state will make you emotionally resilient
- Decreasing the time it takes you to go from idea to executive will make you wealthy
- Decreasing the time it takes you to turn a failure into a lesson will thicken your skin faster than anything else
someone has come and spent their own time and money to do something fun and special and that brings people together in an increasingly depressing and divided world.
and the city is shutting it down.
this is just so emblematic of the thinking of our leaders –appease the vocal minority, bring in the rules, stamp out any sense of fun or innovation.
At some point, usually in your 20s, you'll notice that the people around you stop believing in themselves. And no matter how hard you try, you can't save them. By all means, do not let it infect your mind. Stay on your path.
Going to leave you with this tonight:
The best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you.
Go outside, travel more, go to new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, go for hikes, see cities, countrysides, take your notebook, speak to people, ask questions, start businesses - go on more side quests.
You can literally just do things, and the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.
Night gang.
“No matter where I go in the world, although I can't speak any foreign language, I don't feel out of place. I think of earth as my home. If everyone thought this way, people might notice just how foolish international friction is and they would put an end to it.”
―Akira Kurosawa
University administrators are busy erasing departments that teach critical theory, not realising what it will lead to. You will soon have a huge number of young people flocking to grifters like these because you denied students the opportunity to think critically.
