@Lacoste @rolandgarros Still no word on this?! Really??! https://t.co/Bkj1DV5xPx

Zeynep Sonmez running for a ball and trips over an advertising sign at the back of the court.

She got injured and had to retire from her doubles match.

What is Roland Garros doing at this point to protect the players?

This is getting ridiculous.

[Phil S @LibraryBod]

@popalorena Sönmez was not so lucky today, unfortunately 😞 Those ridiculous boards need to go 😤: https://t.co/5MTkRSWwFN

Fantastic to be at today’s EUROLIS seminar at Europe House 🇪🇺🙌

The theme is “Open Libraries: Equity Across and Beyond the Shelves”.

Look forward to hearing all about efforts to promote inclusivity within the library sector.

This afternoon we’re visiting a specialist library for blind and visually impaired citizens of Astana. #WLIC2025

We’ve been shown equipment for creating braille and other alternative formats, as well a brand new prestigious collection of items from Kazakh poet Abai Qunanbaiuly.

We got to meet the famous MNU Cat - mascot of Maqsut Narikbayev University Library 😸 https://t.co/WW4p8zQIPl #WLIC2025

Friday is tours day at #WLIC2025 🙌

First stop is Maqsut Narikbayev University Library.

It is housed in a building affectionately known by students as the “banana building” owing to its bright yellow exterior.

The library itself was recently refurbished and looks stunning 🤩

Fascinating hearing examples of how libraries are responding to challenges to democracy @IFLAwlic this morning.

These range from a censorship case in Germany, to provision of prison libraries in Canada, to encouraging digital literacy to combat misinformation in India. #WLIC2025
