The jurors, prosecutors and victim’s family in #MarcellusWilliams' case are all supporting his bid for clemency, which has been denied by Missouri’s Republican governor and state Supreme Court. https://t.co/xQshScdNRG
We wish we had better news. But as of now, #MarcellusWilliams is still scheduled to be executed by Missouri tonight at 6 p.m. central for a crime he is totally innocent of.
Don’t stop sharing his story. It’s not too late to save an innocent life. https://t.co/eofSDX66tC
With so little time until #MarcellusWilliams is set to be executed tomorrow, Sept. 24th at 6 p.m., our best tool is our voice. We must make as much noise as possible in these final hours, as public pressure can make all the difference in the moments leading up to an execution.
Please, email, tweet or call Gov. Parson (@GovParsonMO) RIGHT NOW at 417-373-3400 and URGE him to step in and prevent Marcellus’ execution. https://t.co/2wq41v09Hj
Peter: My dude, enough with the rain.
Jesus: No.
Peter: I think you've made your point.
Jesus: Did you see that Republican debate? Fuck them. FUCK THEM.
Peter: But, my Lord.
James: Give him a sec, Pete. He'll get over it. He's not like his dad. 10 days, max.

We’re shocked to be facing millions of additional cuts to library funding, a devastating

Many ppl with chronic illnesses have to be in complete crisis before drs take them seriously or treat them.
Along the road we get gaslit a lot. We get accused of exaggerating, faking, or it all being in our head. It could save a lot of us so much suffering if drs listened better
I will never stop being confused about healthy/non-disabled people throwing tantrums about potential lockdowns but then telling chronically ill/disabled people to just stay home if we don’t want to get sick or die. Tell us you hate us without telling us you hate us.
The Speaker of the House makes $223,500/year, has healthcare, and unlimited paid leave.
Meanwhile, the minimum wage is *still* $7.25/hour and we don’t have universal healthcare or paid sick leave.
The current federal minimum wage has lost over 27% of its value since it was last raised in 2009 and 40.2% less than a minimum wage worker in February 1968. Our rapidly increasing wealth inequality is a policy choice.
People don’t care because the message still focuses on the dangers to higher risk folks. Covid can still kill and be permanently harmful to healthy folks too. But people are selfish. As long as the message is still “protect high risk folks” people will never comply. Sad but true.
For those who keep saying they don't understand why we are so focused on masks: Mask mandates are the policy that would instantly make a huge difference to the lives of higher risk people. It would mean they could go on public transport, access medical care, & other basic needs.
