May 15, 2026: Bandits on motorcycles hit 3 schools in Ahoro-Esinle, Yawota & Alawusa (Oriire LGA, Oyo). ~40+ pupils (incl. toddlers) + 7 teachers abducted. One teacher killed. Victims dragged into nearby forests. Teachers now on indefinite strike. Classic southward creep of banditry.
