The Pratt Cereal Mill was built by the Pratt Bros in 1895. It was the first cereal oil mill in the US; it had the capacity to grind 10 cars of corn a day! In 1902 they along with the Shellabarger mill and a few others became the American Hominy Co. In 1909, Staley bought it.
