The Hallowe’en Market raised £250 from a tombola & sales of L&B’s “Now & Then” calendar and our curlew-branded teatowels & bags. Thanks to everyone who donated items for sale. Please do the same again for the Xmas Market on Sat 30th - clear some space at home for new presents!

Our team were out in force @PendleBC Colne Area Committee Meeting last night. Cllrs and Planning Manager agreed with our concerns about Design, Drainage, Ecology & Transport and moved a motion for the Council's Policy & Resources Committee. #Curlew #Planning #ConservationArea

For info, arrangements for Barry Birtwistle’s funeral next Mon 8th Oct have been sent out by the Golf Club.

The Crematorium is for family only, so people should go to Christ Church (Keighley Rd) at 10am and/or the Golf Club from 11am.

Sad news of Barry Birtwistle's death on Fri 21st. A key member of L&B, having been secretary of the original Lidgett Preservation Group, and an all-round fun chap. Gave memorable speech at the Appeal–we'll never forget tales of playing Doctors & Nurses on the Rough!
