I don't need to know the intricacies of quantum physics but if my child wants to learn it then I will learn it to.Teaching

I think too many outsiders see home ed as a lazy option, but in reality, that's the opposite of how it is, we are so much more

And will forget it in five minutes. That's where home ed is different. Children have so much more responsibility, passion and motivation

@edujdw @timjay @tes Curriculums are customised to each home ed child, not many rigidly follow the national curriculum. Some purchase ready made curriculums etc. There's no possible way to assess as every family is unique in that way.

@edujdw @timjay @tes It's not difficult to collate numbers local together, gp lists locally, council tax etc. Illegal schools are an Ofsted issue not home ed, and they haven't shut down known ones. That is not acceptable.

There's no need for a formal 'registration' when they should already keep accurate record of all the children in the county.
