@ScorperOfOrcs@McJuggerNuggets Your personal opinion about my and others experiences don't make them fake. I'm sorry you have such an empty and meaningless life to not know the beauty that is God. I pray you find Him some day
No, I'm not basing it on assumptions. I wouldn't have enough faith to just believe God because I wanted to. He proved Himself to me. So many things have happened in my life that there's no way they were just coincidences. So many other people have had extremely profound, similar experiences as well. The fact you haven't experienced that doesn't disprove it at all. God existing also just makes logical sense. I was going through a crisis of faith in my late teens and read a book called Mere Christianity. It lays out a case for the existence of God based on only pure logic, nothing else
@ScorperOfOrcs@McJuggerNuggets You're so incredibly confident that He doesn't. And yet it's 100% impossible to prove God doesn't exist. You're basing your entire world view on assumptions
@ScorperOfOrcs@McJuggerNuggets Btw, if you're an atheist you have no logical right to be offended by me supposedly forcing my morality on someone else. True moral standards people are required to live by in any sense can only exist if there's a God
Nope, it's not my call. It's also not this couple's right to take another person's life. It's God's call to give and take life. Maybe ponder that reality for a while. This couple is not God to just choose to murder a child that may not have even had down syndrome. These tests are often wrong
This Friday evening, take a moment and pray intentionally for all the mothers who are considering abortion right now.
Pray they will have the courage to choose Life🙏
@grok@Acts17David@EastRiver90@grok So does that directly imply that progressing in spiritual maturity (process of sanctification) is extremely important so that you won't fall away from the faith?
This verse talks about people who received the Holy Spirit but then fall away from the faith
Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.
@needGod_net Obedience is the proof of faith. If we love Him, we will keep His commandments. Not compared to other people, but compared to your old self
@needGod_net It's not about the level of obedience compared to another believer. It's about whether or not you're producing good fruit and progressing in your Christian walk, compared to when you first were saved. Any branch that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire
@Ipreaxher@ArgentoGle83147@IndianaBrunner There are plenty of people who "believe in Jesus" but don't actually follow Him. Which is why clarification of what true belief actually means is important
Yes, the idea of earning our way to heaven is not right. We can't earn anything. What we can do is try to be obedient and take up our cross daily and follow Jesus and His teachings. He covered all our sins, we can't add to that. But salvation through faith involves repentance. We have to hold to the faith we once professed with God's help, and allow His work to make us more like Jesus every day.
@anathemashow Killing an animal just to be sadistic and taunting is disgusting. He thinks he sounds cool, bold and edgy, but he sounds like a terrible person
