Following our sponsored walk last week in aid of the RNLI, today we welcomed the @LifeguardLincs to collect the donations as well as listen to a valuable water safety presentation. We have raised a total of £3000.66!! #RNLI#StayWaterSafe#SkegnessStandard#LincolnshireLive
Our lifeguards are learning about our key water safety messages this morning, so they can pass them on to beach goers throughout the summer and keep people safe 🛟
1️⃣ Tilt your head back with ears submerged
2️⃣ Relax and try to control your breathing
3️⃣ Move your hands to help you stay afloat
4️⃣ Once you are over the initial shock, call for help or swim to safety
5️⃣ In an emergency call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
In this month’s #MeetYourCoastguard, we hear from Mablethorpe Coastguard Ramon as he recalls the time a dog had them chasing their tails, much to the amusement of the crowd.
But being a Coastguard isn’t about glamour, it’s about saving lives.
