This week we had the pleasure of celebrating 200 years of @RightThereOrg at @ScotParl. We heard about their ongoing work to prevent homelessness across Scotland and spoke to different organisations about Lifeline and our support for survivors of #domesticabuse and their pets.

'Just leave' is never that simple, and we know that pets can also be a big reason why survivors feel unable to leave if it means leaving their beloved pet behind. Our @CatsProtection Lifeline service launched in Scotland this year and offers free & confidential cat fostering ❤️

Remember: Leaving is a process, not an event. It takes an average of 7 attempts before a survivors leave permanently. Your understanding and support can make a difference.

Tonight #Emmerdale has highlighted how #domesticabuse perps will often threaten or harm a much loved pet to control, intimidate and to emotionally abuse. It's hard to watch but it happens commonly and it's important that people are aware and know there is support available 🩷
