@ronmortgageguy Do these guys just want to make things worse? Do they just hate younger adults? Now they'll probably cut services to fund a tax holiday that just helped the rich, again. Same bait and switch bs every time.
@jonkentcomrade The biggest thing the donors are afraid of is someone coming in and demonstrating better is possible. They spent years destroying trust in government by putting in pols that actively made it worse and inefficient while cutting taxes for the rich.
Deep inner suffering inevitably arises when the human person is reduced to performance, consumption, or a statistical datum. Many young people today live under the yoke of expectations to perform, immersed in an exasperated competitiveness that generates anxiety, fear of not measuring up, and disorientation.
@TheChiefNerd This guy is so full of utter shit. He just says things and expect L's people will be believe him because he's rich, while his company and others are laying people off by the thousands due to AI.
@JeffBezos That's because you people have all the fucking money. You pay the most, but it's a fraction of your wealth. This talking point is utter bullshit.
@ManyBeenRinsed The prices still don't make sense. In the 90s, prices corrected to the point ppl could buy them again. Shitbox condos didn't exist, so the supply was actually not bad either.
@spikestabber@crookedchair69@unusual_whales I'd be interested to see if some of the buildings end up doing it. That seems like the only option. Otherwise I don't know what they do with these buildings besides making them hotels. And how many hotels do we need??
@spikestabber@crookedchair69@unusual_whales But apparently you can't even do that. You can't knock down the walls in these building for wiring and structural reasons. So we're stuck with them.
