This building was originally the Fair Oak Café, 8am to 10pm and overnight accommodation and stabling. The 4 Seasons Coffee House, opened in 2024 and presumably lacks stabling but does have a tuna and cheese melt pannini, something probably lacking in Victorian times.
It's surprising how little Cardiff makes of it's riverfront.
Fitzhamon Embankment for example.
Far more road than necessary. Could make one way, double pavement width & create more space for markets & make it a place people want to spend time, rather than just pass through...
Regularly pass the handsome 1930s toilet block behind Cathays Library thats been locked up, disused & rotting for ~15 years!
-Make it an extension of Library

Avoid Hollybush Road in Cyncoed. A car has flipped. You can get through but it's slow. Driver is fine, fortunately. Easy to do. Low sun may have been a factor.

If Cardiff had the connectivity & residential density of a similar-sized city like Nantes we'd be £450m a year richer.
3km radius around Cardiff Central has 6 stations. Nantes has 74 by the same measure.
