I want to be married to a man who doesn’t need reminders to take care of himself, the house, or the kids.
I want a partner who sees what needs to be done and does it... not because I asked, but because he cares for himself and for us.
Wash the dishes because it needs to be done. Clean the house because it’s part of life. Cook because it’s part of living together.
I would only consider marrying someone who understands that my role as a wife isn’t to nag or manage him. My role is to be a partner, a teammate, a helper.
A true partnership means sharing responsibilities freely, as a sign of love, respect, and mutual care.
Marry someone you can suffer with.
Life is not only lived in romance.
It is lived in exhaustion, uncertainty, loss, and long, unglamorous seasons too.
Real love isn’t who you laugh with on good days.
It is who stays when life is heavy.
Who supports you when you are falling apart.
Who gets in the water with you instead of watching from the shore.
To suffer together doesn’t mean choosing pain.
It means choosing someone who doesn’t leave when pain arrives.
That is the kind of love that lasts.
