@_atzsvt_@D0RIANSCROCHAN I got chewed the hell out for this, but I think she has ulterior motives and using Az to dismantle the IC. Like maybe she’s being controlled or made a deal to become human but she’s been moving real suspiciously after book 3.
@xchel45@daisieszla I’ve been cussed out and called all kinds of things for even suggesting it. It’s ballsy for SJM to do it but I love a good antagonist redemption arc. There’s just so many breadcrumbs and the more I reread stuff with Elain, the more apparent it’s becoming. No one expects her.
@gccoeur Why would you remove fucking if SJM went out of her way to emphasize the word? That means Elain said it with emphasis in comparison to the rest of the sentence. If the emphasis was on Azriel then that would be a different story
@ValkyriesReborn She’s manipulating the whole IC. I think she’s kept Lucien around and used Az to stir trouble with alliances to dismantle the IC. She’s got everyone fooled
@ValkyriesReborn It’s possible she’s valg but if not, I think they know she’s playing Az. She’s playing everyone and nobody sees it. She said it herself—she doesn’t want a mate or a male. She wants to be human again and I feel she made a deal or plans to in order to be made human again.
@daisieszla And I just know in my gut she’s going to do anything to try and get it. And her arc is going to get way worse before it gets better. I’m talking temporary antagonist.
@daisieszla I believe she was talking about Nesta and Lucien here which was originally supposed to happen. With that said, I don’t think she ever intended on Elriel being an actual endgame. Elain said it herself, she has no interest in a mate or a male. What does she want? To be human again
@gwynrielheart “Or have the decency to formally reject your mate” so if you’re going to fuck in my house, do it the right way. Though I doubt he’d want that either, but there’s no excuse. Elain has ulterior motives and I’m watching her closely
@RaquelL25197993@katnipsz Mhmmmmmm. Shes got ulterior motives for keeping the bond and going after Az, and it has nothing to do with an interest in either. She doesn’t want a mate or a male. What does she want? To be human again and she will do anything to get that. People are in for a surprise
@katnipsz@gwyn_stan He was also self-loathing when he said this. Not to mention he said something along the lines of Elain screaming and being so upset and it was because of him when it was because of Braxyis 💀 not saying she wants him but he was in a bad mindset too in that chapter
@freaky_ribbon She said it herself - she doesn’t want a mate or a male. Yet people just focus on not wanting a mate. I also think she as an ulterior motive and I’m excited to see what she’s got up her sleeve
@gwynrielheart Because she’s doing this on purpose. I’m so fully convinced now that she’s trying to dismantle the IC and will get out of the NC to find any way to become human again. I think she’s made a deal or under someone’s control. There’s so many breadcrumbs that her behavior makes sense
@crochanblood Tysm 💕 I was so sure on Dorian, just to be proven wrong lol. Rhys, I felt that chemistry brewing when she was fighting the Alaskan bullworm and she flipped him off/she had only 1 vote in her favor
@gwynrielcore I already was convinced she is going to dismantle in the IC herself. She has ulterior motives and she’s deceived everyone. That writing is so deliberate. It’s manipulation at its finest. I’m excited for a temporary antagonist redemption arc.
