@OwenUnitedView We have signed few young talents with huge potential for absurd amount of money in past decade. None of those worked out. Only Pogba was worth that price, even he didn’t able to meet the expectations.
@Czooba The price tag is absurd for potential ability. Which hasn’t worked out well for us in the past. If we want to spend this much, I would prefer to get Bruno G+Tonali.
@Mish_clinton Release clause needs to be fully paid upfront. So, he would cost 40m this window. Without release clause the price can rise upto 60m. But amortization will only cost 12-15m this season.
United will look for lower cost season to season.
@Cantonadevils 85 million for a player that got relegated twice in last two seasons is absurd. Also him joining a team barely escaped relegation says a lot about the player than United.
@abosalaharena You are promoting 24 teams to play round of 16. Thats when it stopped making any sense.
Also, an extra match punishment for not topping the group is making sure only the group winners reach semis.
Its world cup. Both teams reaching final should play same amount of matches.
@Muppetiers Group Stage and Knockouts are different. Experience matters in the knockouts. I can see Ivory Coast being a tough opponent for Brazil than Norway. But neither team has that much experience to get past Brazil in the knockouts.
@ClydeJune2@ESPNFC Ivory Coast is much tougher opponent than Norway. Its the 5th match of the tournament. Just one player can't drag the teams that far.
@UTD_CLIFF@brfootball They defended the whole game. Brazil only played like real Brazil for 15-20 mins. If not for the hydration break to kill the momentum, Brazil could've scored more.
@britishshithole@brfootball Defending with 11 players is not giving all. Winning goal came with 7 Japan players defending the box. Brazil only needed to be patient to get their goals.
@aruvinchan Attacker gets closer to goal, defender goes further from the goal. Even an inch of advantage to the attacker is a lot, cause defender has to do full turn to get in the position to pursue the attacker. Offside is to make sure there is balance of advantage for both sides.
@TheAthleticFC In last 7 world cups, 4 of them were won by group C winners. Last 2 champions also topped Group C.
Group C or the 3rd group produced most World Champs. 8/22 champs topped the 3rd group.
Its kind of insane.
@DazLFC79@TheAthleticFC Its always been like this. And yeah, GK can stay up the pitch to force an offside. It is also a strategy when you defend set pieces from physically stronger opponents. Its not a good one, but it is one.
@Tw0TruthsNdAL1e@wallacemick@FIFAcom It was also measured from defenders foot to attackers foot. Even if use Wenger's proposed offside rules, its still an offside.
@StephenFPI@RealPepeEscobar Shearer is not a fan of VAR. Or particularly much fond of it. I believe he can say that since on field decision is goal, it could stay that way. VAR just took away an iconic world cup moment. But VAR was implemented to prevent the exact errors like this one.
@Ceejaycrpt@Footballtweet They have exceeded the expectations already. I don’t think they have it in them to beat a team like Argentina. It can turn into a goal fest.
