🚨BREAKING: Iranian authorities have executed Marzieh Neyri (also reported as Marziyeh Nayeri), a young woman who claimed she acted in self-defense against a sexual assault.

Neyri was forced into marriage at age 17 under family pressure. In 2021, when she was 18, she said one of her husband’s business associates attempted to sexually assault her after drinking. She grabbed a kitchen knife to defend herself. Her husband was killed during the confrontation.

She turned herself in days later. Iranian courts rejected her self-defense claim. The surviving associate denied her account and portrayed her as the aggressor. Under qisas (retribution) law, she was sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on August 8, 2026, at Qazvin Central Prison (Choobindar).

Human rights groups note she was one of at least 14 women executed in Iran so far in 2026. Her case has drawn comparisons to earlier self-defense cases, including that of Reyhaneh Jabbari, who was hanged in 2014 after killing a man she said tried to rape her.

Under Iran’s Islamic Penal Code, proving certain sexual crimes can require four male witnesses. Women’s testimony often carries less weight, and self-defense claims by women in such cases are frequently rejected.

Gov. Pritzker is blaming the White House for the high cost of living. This is rich from Pritzker, who has raised taxes 63 times and extracting between $77B-$85B from taxpayers.

While he’s complaining about federal policies, Pritzker is suffocating Illinois’ residents by opting out of three new federal tax provisions that would have financially helped Illinois families.

* He decoupled the state income tax and opted out of the federal “No Tax on Tips" exemption that would have saved an estimated $246 million collectively for tip workers

*  He decoupled from the federal overtime pay exemption (capped at $12,500 for single filers and $25,000 for joint returns) to keep workers from being drawn into a higher tax bracket.

* He has yet to opt in to the 100% dollar-for-dollar federal income tax credit for donations up to $1,700 to Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs).

The  tax credit could provide families with up to $2 billion not only to help middle and lower income families pay private school tuition but also public school families pay for a broad range of educational supports including early childhood, tutoring, special education services 

Please note that if Illinois fails to opt in, Illinois donors can still claim the credit. Surveys estimate $1 billion+ in donations will flow out-of-state to fund students in participating states like Indiana.

Get ready to be ENRAGED.

An 8-month-old baby was scalded in a bathtub.

Her mother watched her skin turn red, peel, and blister.

Then she waited days and never took her to a doctor.

Jannah Abughazaleh died on Aug. 25, 2024, in Sacramento County, California.

Her mother, Kristina Siedlecki, has now been convicted:
* Second-degree murder
* Faces 15 years to life (not enough IMO)
* Sentencing set for Oct. 23

Prosecutors say Jannah's father, Hussein Abughazaleh, put her in dangerously hot bathwater.

She had 2nd and 3rd degree burns over about 30% of her tiny body, from her mid-back down the backs of her legs to her heels.

She would have screamed, cried, and been in intolerable pain.

Siedlecki came home and found her still in the tub.

Her phone searches showed she knew how dangerous untreated burns were.

She still didn't take her baby to a hospital.

A detective said they "didn't want to get arrested and they didn't want CPS to get involved." Again.

2 days later, the father told a family friend, "I burned her… in the bathtub."

The friend told him to call 911. But he didn't. And neither did the friend. Nobody did.

On the morning Jannah died, her breathing changed and she went limp.

Her mother scrolled social media.

About 45 minutes later, the father messaged a friend.

When the friend arrived, Siedlecki handed him the baby. "Within seconds she died in my hands," he said.

Now here's the part that should enrage everyone:

CPS already knew.

When Jannah was born, the father already had substantiated claims of physical abuse and SA against him.

The couple had another child who had already been taken out of their care.

CPS's own assessment rated the home "HIGH RISK" for abuse and neglect.

CPS overrode its own system, closed the case, and sent them a parenting specialist and a pamphlet: "Never Shake a Baby."

His own mother called CPS the day Jannah was born.

The father never faced trial.

He had a medical emergency in jail and died in February 2025.

Jannah never had a chance.

Every adult and every agency that was supposed to protect her failed her.

A woman walked into a Milwaukee high school, said "I'm the sub," and they handed her a classroom full of kids.

No ID check. No call to the district. Nothing.

Amy Jones, 23, a former student, strolled into Rufus King International High School on Sept. 24.

The front office was supposed to confirm she was a registered sub assigned to cover an actual absent teacher.

They didn't.

So she got an 11th-grade class.

Students told police she hit them with profanity, racial slurs and sexually derogatory comments.

She went after kids over their weight, their race, their looks and how much money they had.

2 class periods before anyone figured out she wasn't a teacher.

Staff finally recognized her as a former student and walked her out.

Why'd she do it?

According to the criminal complaint, she told police she was "bored," she "hates kids," and she "just wanted to (mess) around."

🔴 Released on a $5,000 signature bond, which means she paid nothing up front
🔴 Her lawyer says she has bipolar disorder and was off her meds
🔴 Back in court Oct. 20

Milwaukee Public Schools admits there's "no excuse."

They're right.

Next time it won't be a bored former student with a foul mouth.

It'll be someone with a gun or worse, and the front office will wave them right in.

You send your kids to school trusting the adults will check who's walking through the door.

In Milwaukee, all it took was saying "I'm the sub."
