Old people should avoid complaining, and mostly I do. But here's a pet peeve. When you get old your fingertips get slick. They have no traction. It's bad enough that we can't open plastic bags at the grocery store. But why does everything on my tablet and cell phone require me to slip or slide something? My fingertips can tap nicely but they have very little grip. Am I the only octogenarian using digital technology? If so, please show me a little respect and accommodate me in this small thing. So I can answer my phone without a struggle.
Of all the smug, self-righteous mugs in recent history this one offends me only slightly less than Hillary Clinton's. Their expression sort of says we all know we did it, and you can't touch us. At once defensive and defiant. My CPA ex-husband once told me "there are times when there's nothing you can do but deny everything and demand proof." Those times are heavily upon us.
@HansMahncke If history is portrayed honestly, most major accomplishments will not be attributed to persons of color. DEI swivels between "give us credit" and "what's been done to us."
