This post would resonate well with older women who need the daily support of a good pair of sneakers. But they also want to look and feel stylish and hip!

This ad shows an older woman wearing Hokas. This ad very well matches my buyer persona from homework 2. The buyer persona I interviewed is a 55 year old woman who loves to be active and stylish. This ad is showing a woman who wants comfort but style in their shoes!
With these partnerships they have also driven consumer engagement. Overall Sephora has changed their social media strategy and created more buzz and engagement to their brand!

Actionable insight helps to drive retail success! Retailers like Sephora use actionable insight. They have posted video tutorials that they have confirmed are driving consumer engagement. With these video tutorials they have launched influencer partnerships.
This leads to customers going to Wendy’s the next time they want ice cream. Without even directly telling people to choose Wendy’s over McDonalds, their content strategy does that for them!

Based on what I learned from Lecture 8, it made me start really thinking about what goes behind the content that brands post. For instance I like Wendy’s Twitter account because they post very casual posts to try and appeal to Gen Z and young adults.
Below are two of Wendy’s posts. They are making subtle disses at McDonalds. This doesn’t just engage the audience and draw them in to continue reading Wendy’s posts, it also makes them think about how McDonald’s ice cream machine is ‘always broken’.
Dior does a lot of Twitter posts like this. They have Dior Ambassadors and take pictures of them doing daily tasks and highlight their Dior outfit. I think this is a smart marketing strategy because they show consumers that their favorite celebs are wearing Dior. @RetailPro369
As bold as the race itself.
Dior Ambassador @LewisHamilton owned the #AzerbaijanGP in an all-black #DiorMenFall 2024 ensemble by Kim Jones, sporting a knotted cotton pullover with sleek flared pants.

It promotes a brand online and then can lead to purchases in real time. Overall I think the metaverse is growing very quickly and can be very beneficial to businesses.

Lecture 6’s discussion of the metaverse is one that intrigued me greatly! It made me think about the app Zepeto. Zepeto is a metaverse world. In this world it allows you to create your own avatar and a life for this avatar. One feature of this app is the shopping.
Characters can go shopping at real world brands such as Gucci and Ralph Lauren. They have a virtual shopping experience with clothing lines that these brands specifically designed for the app. This is a great form of digital marketing.
My biggest takeaway from lecture 3 was the quote in the Simon Sink ted talk was that " people don’t buy what you do they buy why you do it." Next time you are out shopping and deciding what brand to buy think of this quote and why you decided to go with one over another?
I think this was such an important part of the lecture we’ve been learning. I actually just went to the world of coke and saw first hand the different markets they are targeting their different products towards!

Based on Lecture 4 the most valuable thing I learned was how important the use of demographic segmentation combined with psychographic segmentation is.
They want to target men who enjoy running and are passionate about living an active lifestyle. From there a company can better target their advertising to make it more appealing and relatable to their target market.
