Everything I wish I had known before starting school is what you'll find in this quick guide.

Halimatu is my name. But I'm Christian.
As a convert, I love to answer this question, even in corporate settings.
I cannot deny the gift of salvation I have received.
"If you deny me before men, I will also deny you before my Father." - Jesus
I'd rather not have the job.

LIMERENCE. A new word I learnt the other day.
An obsession with another person, almost like craze. You read meanings into their kind gestures. Imagine that they feel something deeply for you. Could be a celebrity or one of higher status.
Cure: Let them know, ask if it's mutual
"Nurses eat their young" they often say.
As a Nigerian Nurse, what was that one experience (or experiences) that proved or disproved the above statement for you?
Bring it on!

@gaisebaba That man in Judges 19 who went to get back his concubine from her father's house but on their return journey, she was raped and left to die. Woman found her way to the man's doorstep, he took her and he butchered her in 12 pieces and sent them to all the areas of Israel.
The other day I was in the ER, a man was brought in. He had scalp laceration following an RTA and was bleeding profusely.
From cannulation, drugs administration, to suturing, no needle could penetrate him as long as he had a certain ring on his finger.
Anyone experienced this?
@Munalozy No, nurses don't discharge unless the patient has been confirmed fit for discharge by the doctor.
However, in the instance that the pt insists on leaving, they'd sign for discharge against medical advice.
Nobody can keep you in against your will, esp if not a psychiatric pt.
I recently attended an insightful webinar, care to write workshop, organized by the office editor in chief, Nunsa ABU chapter where we had our guest speaker on Day 1, Dear Nurse @Limah_Abdullahi , and one of the points that stood out is:
As I marched to the stage, dad felt even prouder. His Halima made it, even with a "first class upper" (in his words) and the BGS.
Just hang on for us, dad. You believed education would open doors that you couldn't access.
By God's grace, you will have your ROI.

I was inducted into the @Nigeria_NMC as a Nurse and graduated with a first class degree from @AhmaduBelloUni last month.
And yeah, as the best graduating student of my set and the faculty of Allied Health Sciences.
It was hard but def worth it. God did.

@thejaymizy@p_iyin This worked until recently when NYSC made the certificate of internship (or was it the license after internship) a requirement for NYSC registration for graduate nurses.
