The darkness of the Taliban’s cruel restrictions has cast a black, heavy shadow over little Mahtab’s life.

She is one of 160 million child laborers in the world, running from dawn to dusk in one of Afghanistan’s major cities, straining her voice to sell five-Afghani gum in order to afford the medicine that cost thousand Afghani for her suffering mother.

The clock shows 7:10 in the morning, and I find Mahtabi in a corner of Herat city, hidden deep in sorrow and grief. A sorrow that bends the strong shoulders of adults and weakens the sturdy arms of the youth.

The pain of not having money for her mother’s treatment, who lies ill at home, on one side, and the lack of a breadwinner, being an orphan, the empty table, and the sorrow of her two little sisters' hungry stomachs on the other, all weigh heavily on this child laborer's small shoulders.

Protest at the Grave of Hura Sadat in Connection with Mysterious Killings of Women and Girls in Afghanistan

Zan News - Kabul: A group of women, in response to the deliberate and systematic killings of women and girls in Afghanistan, have staged a protest at the grave of Hura Sadat, a well-known YouTuber, accusing the Taliban of being responsible for such killings.

Members of the Strong Women's Movement of Afghanistan, on Sunday (August 26), released a statement and videos of their protest, demanding an end to the crimes of the Taliban and the prevention of further victimization of the Afghan people, especially women and girls.

The statement highlights that during the two years of the Taliban's rule in Afghanistan, women have not only been deprived of political, economic, social, and cultural activities, but have also faced insults, humiliation, torture, sexual assault, and secretive and targeted killings by this group.

According to the statement, over the past two years, dozens of women who were previously engaged in social and political activities have been mysteriously and purposefully killed by the Taliban, and the responsibility for these murders has been attributed by the Taliban to unknown individuals.

The Strong Women's Movement of Afghanistan stated that the Taliban continue to attempt to conceal their crimes, but these atrocities cannot remain hidden. According to their statement, "Recently, a well-known female YouTuber named Hura Sadat was mysteriously murdered in the 18th district of Kabul, and the Taliban, in the absence of her family members, bury her body in a hidden manner. Currently, the grave of Hura Sadat is closely monitored by individuals affiliated with the Taliban."

It's worth noting that in the latest case, Hura Sadat, a female YouTuber, was mysteriously killed in the 18th district of Kabul last week. Her murder has sparked widespread protests, and some civil and media activists have attributed the secretive killings to the Taliban. However, the spokesperson for the Kabul Security Command of the Taliban has stated that three individuals have been arrested in connection with this incident, and investigations are ongoing.

Nevertheless, the Strong Women's Movement of Afghanistan has found the recent report by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Kabul about the killing of 218 former government security personnel to be distressing and alarming. They emphasized that the number of security personnel killed is more than double the official figures.

This movement has also urged the global community and the United Nations to engage with the Taliban as a terrorist group and never recognize them as a legitimate government. They have also called on countries and human rights organizations to seek accountability for the Taliban through the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

In the program "Een Dam," our presenter has conducted interviews with female beauticians in Kabul, Afghanistan. This interview comes at a time when the Taliban has shut down all beauty salons for women across the country in the 25 July. This decision by the Taliban has dealt a heavy blow to the Afghan women's economy, leaving approximately 60,000 women jobless and confined to their homes.

In this program, female beauticians recount their pain and suffering, and they talk about their aspirations to preserve their right to be present and work in society.

Zan News - Badghis: Local sources in Badghis province report that a 23-year-old girl has ended her life by shooting herself with a Kalashnikov rifle in this province.

According to the information from the sources, the young girl, identified as Parvaneh, committed suicide on Wednesday (July 26) in the Olad Mirza area of Qads district of Badghis province.

The reason and motive behind her suicide have been attributed to family violence. So far, the Taliban has not provided any explanations regarding this matter.

Afghanistan citizens protest in Spain

Afghanistan citizens living in Spain have held a protest rally regarding the holding of the Doha meeting hosted by the United Nations on the issue of Afghanistan.

The United Nations is going to host a meeting today Monday (May 1) with the presence of more than 25 special representatives of countries involved in Afghanistan affairs and aid organizations. Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, will give a speech on the second day of this meeting about joint efforts to find solutions and provide humanitarian aid to the needy in Afghanistan.

This meeting has caused a reaction when Amina Mohammad, the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, spoke at Princeton University in America about the possibility of recognizing the Taliban.

Street #protest of women in #Kabul in response to the position of the United Nations to recognize the Taliban!

#Afghanistan women's protest movements in Kabul today (April 29) have held a street protest in response to the statement of the deputy secretary general of the organization regarding the recognition of the Taliban and the #Doha meeting that is scheduled to be held with the presence of the UN secretary general and special representatives of several countries for Afghanistan.

In the resolution they published at the same time as their protest, these women say that the world knows that the Taliban have taken women's rights hostage in Afghanistan in order to make a deal with the international community to gain legitimacy.

In this resolution addressed to the international community and the United Nations, it is stated: "The recognition of Taliban rule is the recognition of terrorism.The way of interaction should always be open, but interaction is not a "deal". Do not dealing the fate of 30 million people."

According to this resolution, the Taliban is not worthy to be recognized and placed in the position of the government and the representative of the people of Afghanistan.

In this resolution, it is warned that if the Taliban is recognized by the United Nations, any case of human rights violations in Afghanistan and the subsequent issue of terrorism in Afghanistan, the United Nations and the countries supporting the Taliban will be responsible.

Amina Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, said in her recent statement at Princeton University in the US Recognizing the Taliban will help this group to be responsible. She also said that a meeting is scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar, on May 1, with the presence of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and countries special representatives for Afghanistan, to discuss the possibility of recognizing the Taliban.
