I asked for a complicated multi-stepped list and it literally spat it out in under a second! Dare I say under half a second. Absolutely mind blowing.

I hate seeming like a bootlicker, but this is a must try product.

Sure, but the problem is by Grok 4.9 all the other major AI companies are going to have 2× 3× or even 5 times better models.

If Grok 4.7 was released six months ago it would’ve been one of the best models, but right now with all the other choices on the market, including open weights, I simply see no good reason to use Grok.

Don’t get me wrong I’m still routing for SpaceXAI. But let’s be realistic here I don’t think they’re gonna get closer to frontier any day now.

I’m severely disappointed in grok 4.7.
It had everything to be the most cost efficient intelligent model and a great daily driver even if still far from frontier.
But even at that it failed terribly.

I’ve been a grok user since grok 3. And now I’m seriously considering switching my plan to Claude. The safeguards on grok have gotten as ridiculous as the other AI companies yet the model is worse in almost every possible way.

Now open weights are catching up and even surpassing grok, GPT has Astra and Claude are going to release the next major new frontier models in just a few days.

It’s been a wild ride. Respect to the entire @spacexai team and truly wish you the best. Bye bye @grok!

It’s unequivocally better than the 2.1T that was trained with Jax, but we made some mistakes that were only corrected mid run and we have greatly improved the data quality in the past few months.

The upcoming 3T run with improved internal training software and much better data will be dramatically better.

Our training (aka pre-training) software is now the internally developed C/C++ stack, which was written primarily by the Starlink software team. This is awesome and probably best in industry.

However, our reinforcement learning stack is still somewhat of a legacy pile of many different third-party software systems. This will get fixed, but isn’t yet.

@poteto I’ve got a question, I’m a bit confused about the grok/cursor subscriptions but to make it short:
I’ve bought a one year supergrok subscription a few months back, and just bought my first month of cursor pro+ last month, and both are under the same email, so does that mean I technically lose some @bot usage? Or do I get both grok bot usage quotas on the same grok bot account? It doesn’t seem like it
