A message to all sane Republicans: He pardoned 1,600 violent criminals. You said nothing. He bulldozed the East Wing. You said nothing. He interfered with the release of the Epstein files. You said nothing. He took over the Kennedy Center and renamed it after himself. You said nothing. He accepted a $400 million airplane as a personal gift. You said nothing. He threatened Canada, Cuba, Denmark, Greenland, Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil. You said nothing. He tariffed just about everyone but Russia, causing inflation and instability worldwide. You said nothing. He attacked a nation during mediated negotiations. You said nothing. His ill-conceived war killed 175 children on day one. You said nothing. He alienated and insulted our allies. You said nothing. His ICE Army terrorized and murdered U.S. citizens. You said nothing. He committed murder on the high seas. You said nothing. He co-opted the Justice Department and directed it to prosecute his political enemies. You said nothing. It's time to start talking!!!
It's long overdue!!!!
Trump is now deporting Afghan immigrants who worked for the US military during the war and moved here after because they were no longer safe in their country…
BECAUSE THEY SIDED WITH US.
They came here LEGALLY, on temporary visas, until they could acquire full citizenship.
Trump suddenly decided they’ve been here “too long.”
I’ll let a retired Major who served alongside them take it from here…
THE IRS JUST PERMANENTLY STOPPED LOOKING AT TRUMP'S OWN MONEY
Not paused. Not under review. PERMANENTLY ENDED. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche ordered the IRS to shut down every current and future audit of the Trump family and the Trump business
Read that again. The man appointed by Trump just told the agency that taxes Americans to protect Trump's taxes from ever being taxed
This came out of Trump v IRS, a lawsuit and settlement so unorthodox that Democrats, Republicans, and the judge overseeing it all raised alarms at the same time. When everyone across the aisle is uneasy, that's not partisanship, that's a five-alarm fire
Meanwhile your audit letter still shows up in the mail like clockwork
Small business owners get flagged for a $400 deduction. Trump's entire empire gets a permanent hall pass signed by his own hand-picked AG
This is a sitting president using the machinery of federal law enforcement to make his own finances legally untouchable, forever, while he's still in office setting the rules for everyone else's taxes
There is no oversight committee scarier to Trump than the IRS knocking on his door, so he had his own DOJ nail that door shut
Ask yourself who else gets to write themselves out of a tax audit permanently. Nobody. Nobody but Trump
The family business gets immunity. The country gets the bill
This isn't governance. This is Trump laundering his own tax exposure through the highest law enforcement office in the land
Share this before they bury it under the next distraction
Trump threatened to “annihilate” Iran. His “October surprise” must not be a mushroom cloud from a nuclear attack. With these threats and assistance to Saudi Arabia, Trump is inferring mass slaughter and escalating an arms race in the Middle East. We must stop this madman.
The Kennedy Memorial is made of irreplaceable marble that was gifted by Italy.
Matisse tapestries found throughout were gifted from France.
The massive starburst chandelier in the Opera Hall, and lights along walkways, were a gift from Sweden.
The record-breaking stage curtains were a gift from Japan. They had to build special looms to weave them because of how big they are.
The grounds are beautiful with displays of art.
This is what Trump is destroying.
I strongly believe in markets, free enterprise, competition, and entrepreneurship. But this idea that companies and markets are best at regulating themselves is ahistorical. Has everyone forgotten that companies regulating themselves produced child labor, horrific working conditions, no weekends, minimal pay, 1929, bad food, air, water, and drugs, and unsafe cars?
I also think "shut-it-down" crusade regarding AI, data centers, etc. is also ahistorical. Attempts to stifle innovation in the past also did not work or did not produce outcomes beneficial for society. I'm glad we are not tilling the land with our hands, riding horses, or having operators connect our calls or push elevator buttons.
The sooner we move beyond this extreme black-and-white debate on AI governance, the better.
PS. I wish we had less Luddite mentality from the White House regarding EVs, wind power & solar energy. We cannot compete wth China with these backwards policies.
Your regular reminder: If the Russians stop fighting, the war ends. If the Ukrainians stop fighting, their land will be occupied, their leaders will be killed, their history and language will be erased, their children will be kidnapped to serve Russia.
Trump has been redirecting tens of millions of National Park Service money to wasteful projects in Washington, D.C., while blocking more than 130 planned projects at national parks across the country, putting more than $25 million in already secured funding on hold.
Projects were blocked at Yellowstone, Yosemite, Zion, Joshua Tree and other parks. And these aren’t frivolous projects either. They include wildfire preparation, restoring areas damaged by fires and removing rodents that carry hantavirus from historic buildings.
The administration’s excuse? They say they’re “ensuring that these taxpayer dollars are being used in alignment with the administration’s objectives to make life more affordable for Americans.”
Since when has that been their objective? Especially while at least $90 million in National Park Service entrance-fee money has been redirected toward projects in Washington, D.C. Our parks need this money for actual park needs.
Since 1981, Democratic presidents have overseen the creation of 3 times as many private-sector jobs as their Republican counterparts.
Excluding Reagan, the net private-sector job growth of the past 3 GOP presidents is zero.
Judge Luttig has again performed a great service to the United States Constitution and to our republic by unsparingly and with great care and learning spelling out the steps that the Trump Party — I will not dignify it by calling it the Republican Party — plans to take in making January 3, 2027 the next January 6, another Day That Will Live in Infamy; and by meticulously and realistically outlining what all elected representatives of the American People must do — starting now — if they wish to redeem themselves in the eyes of history and avoid becoming the grim executioners of our once-great experiment in government of the people, by the people, and for the people. — Laurence Tribe

The Trump Administration is using the federal Judgment Fund to dismantle offshore wind projects and redirect investments toward fossil fuels.
The Judgment Fund is a federal account used to pay claims and settlements involving the government. President Trump is now using it like an ATM to pay for deals that force offshore wind developers to give up their projects that lower energy costs.
One company is set to receive $1.2 billion in exchange for surrendering offshore wind leases. The company will then use roughly $900 million of that money to buy a stake in a massive Louisiana LNG project.
That LNG project is owned by a private equity firm co-founded by Australian billionaire Michael Dorrell, who donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration committee and has ties to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago circle.
The Administration is using federal funds to kill offshore wind while directing investment toward fossil fuels, including a project connected to a major Trump donor.
Pure corruption.
This is all so true because it’s more about the money Trump, Politicians and Stephen Miller are making from them being detained in Privatized Detention Centers like Core Civic and Geo Group. This was all planned because it’s all about the money.
Not BREAKING NEWS because the Trump admin has been deleting and altering federal datasets for over a year.
You can argue about policy. But when the government starts eliminating the data we use to determine whether those policies are actually working, that deserves a hell of a lot more attention.
@CatoInstitute@David_J_Bier I'm confused. Trump blocked the last bipartisan Immigration Policy reform law led by Republican Senator Lankford. What policy is governing these elaborate rules? Is the radical expansion of ICE solely due to an executive order from Trump?
Imagine you flee one of the most dangerous countries on earth. You legally come to America, the land of opportunity. You make a life for yourself. And you're shipped back to a gang-infested disaster zone in chains, while the U.S. government laughs at you. It's disgraceful.
It’s really too bad that certain people don’t do research & still believe all the lies that have been told about Immigrants because everything being said here is true & we’re paying billions of dollars detaining them now in privatized prisons instead of them paying taxes.
John Morales, a meteorologist and hurricane specialist with NBC6 in South Florida, was reporting on an upcoming storm when he suddenly shifted gears, right in the middle of the broadcast.
Morales explains that in his 34 years of presenting the weather, he’s always been able to confidently tell his viewers when a hurricane might hit, or when it might turn away. He’s always been able to stand behind his data, modeling, and forecast in order to help protect the people of South Florida.
“I am here to tell you that I am not sure I can do that this year.”
Why? “Because of the cuts, the gutting, the sledgehammer attack on science in general.”
Morales then pulled up a graphic instead of his usual weather map. It laid out some stark realities about severe understaffing of the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Between brutal layoffs, employees accepting the recent DOGE buyout, and straight-up resignations, the agencies responsible for collecting weather data have lost hundreds and hundreds of valuable experts.
He also explained that due to federal government budget cuts, there’s been a sizable decrease in weather balloon launches across the country. Weather balloons are instruments that take crucial measurements of the upper atmosphere and send data that helps with forecasting. With less data available and lower-quality data, Morales says that “the quality of forecasts is becoming degraded.”
