I want you to be my last. I don't want to start all over again with someone else. I want you to be my last love, my last kiss, the last person I have an adventure with, and the last person I see before I fall asleep. I want you and I to last till the very end
I really don’t know, but we also have to learn to live our lives all by ourselves. Not everyone will find their person, and that’s perfectly okay. I was telling someone yesterday that when it comes to relationships and marriage, some people need to realize that it may never work out for them, and that doesn’t necessarily make them a bad person.
At some point, you need to ask yourself: What if no one marries me? What if I never find my own person? Is life going to stop? Every human being needs to learn how to first live their life on their own, find happiness and peace within themselves. If a partner comes along to complement that, fine. If it doesn’t happen, life goes on.
Then, there are people I meet who are incredibly difficult and have some terrible character traits that would eventually make living with them extremely difficult. When I see such people talking about marriage, I just laugh it off because I’m convinced they wouldn’t survive three months of being married.
Some people are simply unmarriageable, and the earlier they realize that, the better for them.
I told my therapist I can’t move on.
He handed me a journal and said,
“If someone is no longer in your life but your mind keeps bringing you back to them, these questions will reveal why your heart can stay attached to a chapter even after your life has already turned the page.”

I saw a post about boiling rosemary in water to freshen up your home, and then a lady said The Williams Sonoma formula is rosemary, lemon and vanilla extract. Well I decided to do that but put it on a candle warmer instead and MY GAWD the way my house smells! May your pillow always be cool, and your coffee/tea always hot.
First time I read this article I wept because I felt so validated and less alone. I’ve never enjoyed being alive and I’ve made peace with the fact that I never will. Experiencing my life’s joys & pleasures doesn’t take away from the fact that I prefer not to exist.
Me telling you all for the 1000th time that if you want to snatch your waist, sculpt your arm, and grow those glutes workout.
You can’t sleep on the combo
I have noticed something about men that genuinely makes me sad. Some of them don't stop loving; they just get tired of feeling unappreciated. At first, he is happy to provide, protect, plan, sacrifice and make life easier for the person he loves. But when every sacrifice becomes an expectation, the joy slowly disappears. He starts wondering whether anyone actually sees the effort behind the lifestyle they're enjoying. There is only so much you can give before you start wanting to know that somebody would still choose you when you have nothing left to give.
You don't wake up and find yourself in a healthy relationship. Kuyakhulunywa lapha, uncomfortable conversations are had. Matters get addressed and we apologize when we're wrong. We compromise for the sake of the happiness of our partners. ♥️
“Guys, let’s stop normalizing the prayer, 'Lord, if he/she isn't meant for me, please remove this desire.' Instead, let's pray: 'Lord, if this person is truly meant for me, please guide him to become the best version of himself, and guide me to become the best version of myself too. Help us grow individually, heal the things we need to heal, and learn how to love each other the way You intended. So instead of praying for God to take away the person, maybe pray for God to reveal what needs to happen.”

I told my therapist I tend to catch feelings way too quickly.
She handed me a journal and said,
“If someone’s attention gets you emotionally attached before you’ve had enough time to see whether they can actually give you the consistency you need, these 10 questions will help you understand why your heart may confuse emotional intensity with real connection.”
