From now on willl be referring to empathy theater initiatives as LARPing. 👍 If this article vibes with you maybe also think about how this applies to a11y empathy exercises and reviews by non-a11y feature users at your company?
Please, please share this piece widely. It has the potential to reach deep into the mainstream and raise public urgency on climate breakdown. It is already "most shared" across the Guardian. Push this moment

So stoked to share this conversation with Alt Text as Poetry creators @shanfinnegan and @bojana_coklyat. Their generous, joyful project has honestly transformed the way I think about accessibility, poetry, and communication. Read about it in @believermag!

Alba was amazing at making sure I felt confident, prepared, and supported to moderate our panel for Critical UX! +1 to giving it a try if you have a complex relationship to public speaking.
It's #GivingTuesday! Help us raise $20,000 in support of Black and Latinx youth leaders redesigning healthy and racially equitable communities. If you give before the day ends, your donation will be matched $1-to-$1, up to a total of $20,000. Head to https://t.co/nEQNJJGTxd!
For #GivingTuesday I'm continuing to support local community arts programs throughout the year with time, supplies and donations. One of my favorites is: https://t.co/VCCSwL8nhJ What are you focusing on/supporting?
Amazing article, if you are working on inclusive product design I challenge you to think of examples of objects like this at your company. Who are your inclusive design efforts actually targeting?
I also watched Dune at home which I loved, it would have been so tough for me to watch and enjoy in the theater because of the pacing and intensity of the audio.
Just watched Shang Chi last night and also so grateful to get movies streaming at home! Such a better experience for me with attention/sensory issues compared to the theater. Love that Marvel is putting out quality AD, especially fighting sequences for a movie like this!

APOC's deeply saddened by the news of Izzy Tichenor’s recent death by suicide. She was a Black, autistic 4th grader in Utah. A GoFundMe page for her family describes Izzy as a beautiful, kind, amazing daughter and sister and a “light in this world.”
Today I'm thinking about how disabled art, beauty, contribution may look different or be on a different timeline than what our dominant tech industry culture asks for or expects, but has just as much or more value to building new worlds. How to open expectations? Should we?
Thank you @HmntyCntrd for hosting our "Beyond Accessibility" #CriticalUX panel yesterday! @jtknoxroxs @elizejackson spoke to my core around disabled erasure, honoring disabled innovation, making space for disabled people, joy and invention. What spoke to and what's next for you?
@typothermya@jtknoxroxs @elizejackson @4erepawko Absolutely, would also like to see more disabled folks with lived experience being hired to work on projects as decision makers.
