Officially graduated this weekend from UAB with my PhD in Medical/Clinical Psychology. So thankful for all of the amazing training I received and the most loving and supportive people who were there for me every step of the way ππ
Teens with elevated adiposity are more vulnerable to impaired cognition after short sleep than those with lower adiposity. After just one night of short sleep, cognition scores decreased by ~0.35-0.53 SD in those with higher adiposity. https://t.co/vltJ5EpxfA
Had a fantastic time at #sbsm2023 and #pedsleepmedconf presenting data from my dissertation and learning from my fantastic colleagues including @chmorgan820
Excited to present at the #PedSleepMedConf with @LindsayStager! Hunger & desire to eat in adolescent males & females are differently impacted by sleep. Improving our understanding of these relationships allows for more individualized interventions for teen weight/sleep behaviors.
Congratulations to PhD candidate, @LindsayStager, on her successful talk at #SBM2023 today and for receiving the Citation Award and the Meritorious Student Research Award for this talk on her dissertation research!
So excited to have matched at Brown for my clinical internship!! Thank you @DrAaronFobian and @TStancin for your support and mentorship during this process!
I was grateful for the opportunity to speak at #FNDS2022 and enjoyed a weekend filled with great science and wonderful colleagues. Can't wait for #FNDS2024 in Verona, Italy!
