Hi! I’m an artist who makes the ugly beautiful.
I use art to express the ineffable, the unspoken traumas.
My favourite tools are dip pen and ink ✍️ I am inspired by anatomy, nature and portraits of forgotten people 🤍
I currently only sell originals only + open for commission
Have I spend more than 8 hours writing and illustrating (+ and animation) a blog post in the middle of the night, publishing it past 7 am? YES 😅
if anyone is interested, it’s about my review of the play The Tempest at @TheatreRoyalDL#theatre

After a decade of using @Pinterest they have deactivated my account because I pinned other people’s images of medical illustrations and art.
1- why is Pinterest censoring those and not all fake accounts?
2- why am I held responsible for what others upload?

@Peyvandofpersia@yellowbellyfoto Loving all these new portrait shots! In this one you look like you’re about to callout the teacher for wearing yesterday’s clothes 🤭
I illustrated an essay on narcissism in politics ( an exam for my science degree in psychology).
Considering the frightening rise of the far right in the French Europeans' vote, I think it’s the perfect time to share it!

New Patreon post for my members where I show a little bit of my comic illustration style evolution. Fun times!

Anyone else’s brain go into self-bullying at night?
All the ideas that cannot be acted upon just turn into a plan. That plan is used as evidence of your current failings. Then a logical fallacy ensues of “i do nothing ergo I am nothing”
🤪
How do artist on here use X ?
What is there to say other than here’s my art, which there are more adapted social media platform for (eg instagram). Do y’all just share the same thing across platforms? I’m really curious coz I have no twitter game as an artist
Just did my first @Patreon post!
Yes, I know I'm supposed to do a big launch after months of marketing.. but I'm too excited to start!
So go read it or ask questions here!

Saw this play called « dual » by @Peyvandofpersia at the @CamdenPT theatre and it was awesome ☺️
Reminded me of art psychotherapy and made me want to do puppets or explore how I would show my two nationalities. Highly recommend !
Seems like we are all feeling similar stuff.. so why do I feel so isolated? So alone in my “I’m a bad artist” self-talk?
perhaps we don’t share enough how often these feelings take hold of us coz we don’t want to overwhelm people 🤔
perhaps it’s time we show that side of us 🫂
@AxesandClimaxes It’s so weird how we all experience that and yet feel super isolated by it!! 🤪
I wonder how we can reclaim our art as our own where we share because we WANT to and not because we feel we OUGHT to 🤔
@AxesandClimaxes Aww thanks for saying!
I have done a few things without sharing and it means I don’t want to share anything anymore because of feeling disconnected from people.
Business wise: I SHOULD make prints but goes against my artist stance on ecology and capitalising art.. I feel stuck
Insomnia thoughts: I don’t make art anymore because I feel like I need to show the process, do something people want to buy, sell it, etc.
When I do make art and don’t share, I feel guilty and like I’m a terrible freelance artist loosing money.

@eyes_of_lamia What made art fun was sharing it on Instagram when I joined in 2016. It made me do art everyday and interact with other artists.
When I got a job I couldn’t do art anymore and not share so interaction disappeared, and my motivation with it. Ever since I have been stuck
I never intended to sell.
Paradox is I’d love to make a living from it.
I wish people felt like they adopt a piece of me and my story through my art and vouch to take care of it 🤍
