Final approval for Steam release!! I am so excited! I will be announcing the Release date VERY soon!
And THANK YOU for all those who've wishlisted the game already!
This has been a dream of mine for a long time. Thanks to everyone for encouraging me to do this!
SOON!™️
My first official stream on https://t.co/DTwL8W4rqZ was a HUGE success!
It was a smaller stress test and only people in my Discord knew about it, had over 40 account creations on the website and maxed out at 25 viewers for the live stream and everything was perfectly stable proving the concept of self hosted streaming can be a reality.
-My website has a fully integrated member login system with custom profile images that show in chat.
-custom Emote management system with static and animated emotes
-Fully custom chat system with built in moderation tools
-chat badges for streamer, mods, contributors and supporters
-chat bot system with built in commands
-member roles for the entire site
And it's 100% my code running on my machine, aside from a highly adapted Owncast binary that I modified for my specific system for the ingest server.
The goal of tonight was to have a stream where people came to the stream and felt very comfortable with the UI and quality of the stream and they overwhelmingly did. Many viewers said the quality was even better than my Twitch streams.
Proof of concept has been proven. This is real and attainable.
I will be streaming again from my site again soon after I add in even more quality of life features that my viewers suggested.
I can not tell you how incredibly satisfying is was to have built this system from the ground up and it be so amazingly successful. The feeling of not being beholden to some corporation or platform on how I entertain and to get essentially 100% of the support my fans give is incredibly liberating and satisfying.
I wasn't kidding when I said I've become my OWN "Twitch".
...and in reality I shouldn't even compare what I've created to Twitch. I think it's better. And I've just started.
I wholeheartedly believe this will be the future of content creators.
Maybe not the HUGE creators that have it "in" with the streaming/video platforms, but for smaller/mid-sized creators who are struggling everyday against the algorithms and lack of exposure, and having half your income taken away when they don't get enough as it it, absolutely.
If you've got a fan base already and an established name on a platform like X. Why would you not cut out all the corporate bullshit and money grabbing middlemen when you can provide the same level of content on your OWN systems.
And yes, I'm aware of the scaling issues hardware and capacity wise, so right now, hosting 1000k viewers...probably not possible on a typical home server setup, but 1-250 viewers, absolutely on a well built machine and ISP speeds.
"But what about revenue?" Sure, that's the big draw back and how these platforms "lock" you in. People know Twitch, it's established, but you can use the same donation systems as most streamers have (and honestly prefer because no cut comes out) like SE or SL donation pages. It might not be a single-click to support system like Twitch, but if people want to support you they will.
Give it 2-3 Years though and there will be tailored setups and services geared solely toward this type of content distribution format.
PROMO TRAILER DONE!
Neko Rogue Early Access & Free Demo should be dropping in the next week or so!
I can't believe there's already 20+ people who've wishlisted my game! I'm so excited & thankful for all the support!

I just created a fully functional and highly customizable pattern nesting/swatch cateloging/image generation application for Mrs Linkz...in 12 hours only using Grok Build.
12 HOURS
Some features:
-Calculate the most efficient placement for Pattern pieces based on available fabric dimension.
-Show/Print out the cutting pattern
-Upload and accurately size pattern pieces with calibration
-uses nesting/on the bias/rotation options for the layout, while maintaining maximum fabric usage
-Upload swatch samples with built in size calibration and pattern detection
- Generate images using swatch patterns
-Option to "Generate on Me" any garment generations using a defined reference image.
-Regen any image with additional prompt guidance.
-Gallery system with image management
-accessible from any local networked device through web
-Mobile and PC layouts
This software package would have cost $100's of not $1000's of dollars to buy 10 years ago, and even then, the image generation components wouldn't even have existed. If you wanted that you'd have to hire design consultants.
12 hours...on Grok Build.
Insane. Insane and incredibly AWESOME!👍

As my first post here I'd just like to talk about where the idea for Neko Rogue came from, what I'm trying to do to make it different, and some of the ideas I have for the game.
Obviously I love, the rogue-like card builder type games. Slay the Spire, which I consider the..

My experience using @StreamWithMeld last night.
Overall, I liked the program. First real OBS competitor I've seen, however below are my observations that may or may not apply in your streaming setup.
Been streaming on Twitch for 10+ years, almost all of that using OBS, and tried out Meld for the first time last night mainly due to the Multi streaming component. I've multistreamed before either using a split encoder plugin on OBS or something like restream.
I'll list my observations here in order of which they impacted my experience. These might be due to me improperly setting up things and not a Meld issue so just because it's a negative doesn't mean it's necessarily a MELD issue:
✅ Multi-streaming to YT and Kick was flawless (Main reason i tried out Meld)
❌Browser source audio is routed individually. I have a ton of browser source audio sources so having to deal with these separately is an extra nuisance. OBS routes all of these to a single source -the system audio. I realize this might offer greater flexibility in some instances but i feel for the average person this simply complicates the audio setup even with the ability to designate sources globally.
❌ The browser source audio levels seem to be unaffected in the CUE audio stream. I monitor using a secondary audio system output, which I figured out correlates to the "Output device" in the audio settings. While the audio levels to the Stream/viewers are affected by the volume sliders they still seemed to play at full volume through CUE if monitored, so I was unable to tell precisely what my audience was hearing, which imo is the whole point of monitoring.
❌ Unable to capture a Windowed game without it being maximized and "on top" of everything else. I do have 4 monitors so i adapted, but OBS will capture game play even from minimized game windows, freeing up valuable workspace. Anytime the game window wasn't full screen all capture was paused.
❌ I have a lot of stream triggers/scripts that are activated through Streamerbot. Streamerbot does not see the running Meld process, so was unable to use anything (might be a SB issue?)
🟡 Popout option for chat. This might be an edge case, but I need a seperate chat window for the combined chat. I stream in VR and utilize OVR Toolkit to attach a chat window to my in-game character's hand. I saw no option to do this. I worked around utilizing another service, but would be nice to have that feature.
🟡No image gallery feature. I use an image rotator to show various images in separate folders on stream, such as merch items or fanart. I only saw the option to add a single image to the scene.
🟡 Only 4 filters max on audio source. This ties into the websource issue. I use a compressor to lower the audio of my music when alerts play or when I am speaking. In OBS since all websource audio goes into a single source I just need two compressors to to this, one sidechained to my mic and the other to my system audio. Since each websource has it's own audio stream I can only audio duck my music for my voice and 3 other websources, which is a big issue.
In closing, I really do love the software and I know it's in constant development and I could definitely see switching over to using it, even if it is just for the multi-streaming component.
I personally feel that having an option to route ALL websource audio into a single stream would be an amazing feature and would cut down the audio setup complexity greatly especially for folks with many websources.
Overall, I could see switching over, but it still needs a little work.
After using OBS for 8 years I'm trying @StreamWithMeld tonight for the first time! I think I got everything all set properly....we'll see!😄
Wish me luck!
This is incredible.
Yes, most people can tell this is still AI, but there were parts of it that truly blurred the lines between AI and cinematic quality and IRL.
It's honestly one of the first times I've watched something like this and at some points said, "I can't tell the difference."
We are heading swiftly into a future of grand storytelling by talented individuals, using AI tools to supplement their talents and I'm here for it.
Traditional film studios are rightly terrified that they will soon not be able to push their garbage narratives through subpar film and TV soon.
