@howie_hua I would try to do 50% of 75 and realize that it’s not a whole number. So I would try 10% and realize it’s also not a whole number (7.5) but if I double it, I get 15 which is 20% and 4 twenties make an 80 so 4 fifteens make 80% or 60 :-)
@helfrederick We also tried filing the activities in filing cabinets, but the little pieces would fall out of the edges. :-) Happy cutting and laminating!! It’s a lot of prep, but so worth it to do in advanced.
@helfrederick I also took things that were supposed to be printed every time (like spinners) and laminated them to be reused with dry erase markers instead of having to print it each time.
Hi! I’m new here! Just finished a children’s story & wanted to jump into this #WritingCommunity to say hello. I’m a former middle school math teacher & current stay-at-home mom of 1 year old twins. Looking forward to connecting with other writers! Any other # I should follow?
Writing is the only thing that makes you a writer. There is no other criteria - not a specific degree, not being agented, not having a book published. Even if what you’ve written has never left your laptop, never been read by another person, you are a writer.

Here is a personal collection of some of my favourite math sites. Might be useful to some.
I'm sure I've forgotten or missed some and so I'm open to suggestions!

@edtechmathteach We have a Transitional Math Course for students who need a boost before beginning high school math. We use the Glencoe Accelerated Math 7 textbook because it’s a combo of 7/8 skills that are “necessary” before algebra.
I described some Routines/Protocol that you can use to make the @eureka_math Application Problems a better learning experience, more accessible, and more impactful.
