Naomi Watts shares a heartfelt tribute to David Lynch:
“My heart is broken. My Buddy Dave... The world will not be the same without him. His creative mentorship was truly powerful. He put me on the map. The world l’d been trying to break into for ten plus years, flunking auditions left and right. Finally, I sat in front of a curious man, beaming with light, speaking words from another era, making me laugh and feel at ease. How did he even ‘see me’ when I was so well hidden, and l’d even lost sight of myself?!”
David Lynch's genius cannot be overstated.
He somehow managed to turn Twin Peaks - including the insanity of the red room- into popular, mainstream television viewing.
I mean, try explaining this to a modern TV audience.
Director-writer David Lynch, who radicalized American film with with a dark, surrealistic artistic vision in films like “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive” and network television with “Twin Peaks,” has died. He was 78. https://t.co/T2GOao28ux
