Hey everyone! I’m OniheiLiq, a Hanyo (half-demon) from the Yokai family of Onikuma - the legendary Demon Bears. 🐻👹
Huge shoutout to @Alexitougu for bringing my character to life.

@JohnnyUktena Thank you so much! That's actually pretty helpful. Back then I watched countless tutorials and just thought to myself: I am going crazy lol.
I need someone to help me understand some stuff.
Let's say I commission a rigger to rig my model. They do everything, they'll provide the moc3 file. Great.
Now I'm getting a new outfit, hair or any kind of add-on like vbridger, but my rigger is ghosting me. Am I fucked?
@JohnnyUktena After I got my model psd, I really wanted to rig it myself but never got around it - last year was quite a year with huge changes.
Maybe I will try it but I'm feeling somewhat overwhelmed lol.
@PeachyraMeow This is a what if scenario. I currently don't have a rig but I'm looking to get it done for my model. Since that conversation came up, I am looking deeper into all of it to understand the connections and semantics.
@chiabutlouder Figured that would be the case in a what if scenario! I currently don't have a rigger, but I'm looking and I'm glad that this discourse came up. Now I will look deeper into all of it haha
@nyewkey Thanks! I figured that might be the case, so it really comes down to what riggers are offering in their terms of services, how they will be handling that .CMO3 file in the future.
@Lumiiiarts_ That's what I am curious about as well! Usually, I think, when it's fully rigged and done, it cannot be added without the source file, in this case cmo3-file.
But in the end, if the artist isn't continuing their work anymore, decides to stop taking commissions - even from existing clients - there needs to be a compromise between both parties. 4/4
I understand both sides! Yes, VTubing is a luxury not everyone can afford and they spend a good chunk of money - so having the possibility to access the files might give them a peace of mind. Especially since they might not want to be bound by only onerigger. 1/4
Riggers if I'm paying you to rig my model that file should also go to me. I PAID FOR IT. it is MY MODEL.
Like what is this industry ? I pay THOUSANDS of dollars to not own the file of my own rigged model ????
Additionally I understand the riggers. The .cmo3 is their "source code". It can be used to recreate everything, make templates of it, mass produce their art rigging style. 3/4
