Lira Municipality started the USMID program in 2013 to revitalize urban areas. As the program nears its end in December 2023, the @WorldBank team visited Lira City to assess progress. The achievements include improved infrastructure, increased citizen engagement, and reduced crime rates thanks to well-lit streets, enabling extended business hours.
