@Mheaney1129 I believe that algorithms can affect students. Students need to ask themselves, "Is this the best information?" I think it's our job as teachers in a technology world, to teach this and model appropriate online behavior. #ET690
@MrIngram5th @sarahdateechur A3. I teach in Prince George’s County. My school is 1 to 1 with iPads so many of our teachers put on professional developments on how to incorporate technology into lessons which I love! #ET630Chat#ETRollCall
@MissShi86@sarahdateechur A2. I was asked by my reading specialist to present at a new teacher training program in our county this summer on small reading groups for the primary grades! 📚 #ET630Chat
A4. I teach 1st grade and do a lot of Brain Breaks with my students. I use @GoNoodle. There is a category of "Mindfulness" videos that I use with my students. These different videos boost confidence, build compassion, enhance focus, manage stress, and practice self-control!
A3. I communicate with my student's parents through the app @RemindHQ. It makes it so simple to send messages to individual parents or as a whole. I like sending thank you messages and pictures of their child throughout the school year.
A2. Twitter chats can be beneficial because you are able to get the opinions from other educators around the world on one topic. It makes you see the point of view of others that you might not have thought of before! #ET630Chat
Q2. What are Twitter chats, and how might they be beneficial? Which ones would you recommend (or are you interested in participating in)? Resource: https://t.co/lEdAGjfhIl … (on @cybraryman1's page) #ET630Chat
A1. I haven't used Twitter in a couple of years. I'm excited to have a professional account now to follow other teachers to gain ideas and to communicate with other educators. #ET630Chat
Q1. Like Simon Sinek says, let's start with the "why." Why do you use Twitter to connect with other educators? If you do not yet do so, why do you think it might be beneficial? #ET630Chat
