Another trip to goose fair last night.
We’re all spent up.
All winnings were given away before we left.
The afternoon was spent delivering all the previous ones to children we know 🧸🧸🧸
Another trip to the Nottingham Goose Fair.
Korean corn dog and curried mutton with rice and peas.
Won less teddies tonight 🧸 🧸 🧸
Hard work carrying them all, the bigger ones were longer than me 😆😆😆
Michaelmas once sent goose drovers 50 miles to Nottingham
By 1541, Nottingham was already recording “Goose Fair Day”. Up to 20,000 geese were later driven from Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk for the Michaelmas season, when harvest ended and rents fell due.
Drovers faced journeys of 50 miles or more. Better transport eventually ended the livestock trek, but the fair survived as a travelling funfair-and on 25 September 2026 it opens again at Nottingham’s Forest Recreation Ground.
Last nights walk.
Dogs have their new lights attached.
They like to go deep into the undergrowth and dig.
Can’t find them on a sunny day.
They just appear when they find a new scent to investigate 🐶 🐶

We’ve had an amazing time away.
Living it up in the capital.
Eating out everyday, spending and having a good time.
So, tonight we’ve come out for a bit of camping with the wildlife.
Just me and the eldest.
Anyone for a brew? ☕️ 🫖
Me, sister and the kids went to see Beetlejuice on stage.
The sand worm was a little too quick for me to fully capture at the end.
If you need a laugh go and watch it 🪲🧃
The audience wore some amazing costumes too.
Wanted to see Oliver for ages.
Me and my sister booked it on a whim and secretly sang all the songs. 🎭 🎵
Worth a watch if musical theatre is your thing 🤗
