Our 'Big Spring Clean'. Busy day today; tidying the school grounds, litter picking, weeding, planting edible flowers, putting in canes to support the pea/bean plants & painting our benches & fences.
Thanks to our parent volunteers; Mark, Caroline, Joanne, Catherine & Claire!
Fr Sean Hegarty served as Parish Priest in Lissan from 2008-2010. He is fondly remembered for his strong faith, his devotion to the sick, his passion for Gaelic football and his love of Slieve Gallion.
Fr Sean recited St Michael's prayer at every mass.
St Michael pray for him.
Our P7 pupils were delighted to be involved in this project, learning about their local environment & using this as inspiration for writing fabulous poetry. Having the poems published in this beautiful Heartland anthology has been the 'icing on the cake'. Thank you Peter & Máire.
5 schools in one day with our 'Heartland' project. I think that's my new record! I think we can consider this anthology well and truly launched, don't you? @MidUlster_DC@ACNIWriting@HeaneyCentre@SHHomePlace
Congratulations to our P4 boys and girls on their First Holy Communion Day. Thank you to your teachers (Mrs Hagan and Miss Donnelly) for helping you to prepare for your special day. We are incredibly proud of you all!
