Gosh...
Penelope Keith. Absolute Legend.
Loved her in everything she did.
One of the greats.
We will all miss her hugely.
RIP Madam. Thanks for the magic.
@visitlondon It certainly is. And was (still is?) home to some of the greatest literary minds in the world. And some GREAT Pubs!! https://t.co/sBxBFe6nSz
@e_glinert@DrTimPT@London_W4 We’re there every Saturday. The photo of George Orwell sitting in the pub ‘disappeared’ with a previous management! (Not the Bird family, just for clarity!)
@visitlondon The 38 bus is always a good (and cheap) was to experience Theatrland. Then join us and Charles Dickens for a pint! https://t.co/sBxBFe6nSz
Today in 1854 Queen Victoria opened the Crystal Palace pleasure park at Sydenham Hill. The Crystal Palace had been moved there following the end of the Great Exhibition of 1851, which the Queen had also opened. Read here about its creation https://t.co/3jy02ofCLJ

So sad that Bob Harris has had to step down from broadcasting due to ill health.I have known Bob for years and appart from being a great broadcaster he was also a lovely gentle, kind man, and a friend. I will miss our chats every Sunday and I know he is going to miss doing his shows so much as he has a deep love for radio. I was talking on the phone to him last week and I know it was a difficult decision for him but quite rightly his health had to come first. We will all miss you at Radio2 Bob but we will keep in touch and I know you will fight and beat this horrible cancer.
