Dear Martin,
I am in my fifties and had never invested before due to nervousness about the stock market, but last year following your advice I put about £5,000 into a Stocks and Shares ISA.
I felt very brave and happy with myself. However, the very next day, Trump bombed Iran and I lost £150 overnight. I couldn't believe my bad luck. I hurriedly took it back out again, fearing I would lose even more.
What can you say to someone like me to get them investing again? When I look on the internet it's full of warnings that an even bigger stock market crash is coming.
