@stingerdelux You're free to campaign for spaces for trans-identified men, yet your focus is entirely about stripping rights from women. This begs the question, is it really the safety of trans-IDed men you care about, or the removal of women's and girls' safety? What does your hard drive say?
Funny, isn’t it, how women who’ve been raped or beaten are accused of ‘weaponising’ their trauma when they ask for male-free spaces, but trans-identified men who claim using the Gents has a higher mortality rate than armed combat are met with credulity and simpering concern.
@stingerdelux#NotAllMen meant 'not guilty by default.' It meant, 'stop talking about all men as though they're all predators.' It meant, 'women should stop blaming all of us.' And the men tweeting that hashtag made exactly the points you're making: women overestimate risk, all men aren't bad.
@stingerdelux Nobody I know on this side of the fight thinks all men are bad. Nobody I know on this side of the fight thinks all men rape, beat or abuse women and girls. We simply have incontrovertible proof that enough do to make safeguarding necessary - and a lot of men agree with us.
When feminists set up domestic violence and rape crisis centres, campaigned for single sex hospital wards, changing facilities, etc, men, even sexist ones, understood perfectly fine why it was necessary. A significant minority of men pose a real threat to women. Therefore, other men just accepted it. What’s different about men that insist they are women?
This is, without a doubt, the most (unintentionally) hilarious, stupid, long winded, nothing response to “are transwomen women?” that I’ve ever heard. It deserves a prize for the sheer brilliance of its nonsense. A+. No notes. Thank you.
🧵The judgment in @ForWomenScot has caused shockwaves, but not about anything it actually says. The panic & confusion is all about rectifying a practice which was already known to be unlawful but has proliferated anyway: the provision of single-sex services on a self-ID basis ⤵️
.@GoodLawProject advises trans-identified men to keep breaking the law by using women's bathrooms. This, the founder says gleefully, will mean more rapists go free, which @JolyonMaugham seems to think a fitting punishment for the women who fought to protect single-sex spaces.
In a highly emotional interview, Angela Carini has just explained that she abandoned because she had never been punched so hard.
Imane Khelif said nothing. And this is the issue that the IOC’s Mark Adams suggested everyone should just ‘dial down’.
An absolute scandal
This is my sport, one in which I competed to a high level. So for once I have an opinion based on something close to expertise.
And this is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen.
No woman, no matter how good for her sex she might be, should be anywhere near a boxing ring with a skilled male.
Whether that male chooses to identify as a woman or has a condition that has led to them presenting as female since birth, if they carry the advantages inherent in male levels of testosterone and from the physicality that arises with XY chromosomes and male gametes, they should be NOWHERE NEAR women’s boxing.
This is a sport where bad intent is part and parcel of every punch you throw. The difference between male and female is the difference between life and death.
We are now quite literally sacrificing athletes on the alter of ideology. And once again we are asking women to pay the price.
What I saw.
A woman getting hit SO hard, in the head, by a man, that she wisely chose to stop it, because she KNEW if she didn’t, she’d be seriously injured or worse.
Blood, sweat, tears, training, dreams…shattered….
The ABSOLUTE STATE of this…@iocmedia
Angela Carini. 💔❤️
This is the inevitable endpoint of pretending sex isn't binary & immutable, & that identity claims should take precedence over reality. We can't be sure about this boxer's exact medical situation, but we can be sure from the details that have emerged that he's male 1/2
