Hey guys, just sharing what I've learned about @PresensNetwork because I think it's actually pretty cool how they do this whole "presence" thing without being creepy about privacy.
👉 So basically they figure out where people are hanging out or moving around (like busy areas, crowd flow) but they never know it's YOU specifically. No tracking your name, phone, nothing like that.
From what I get:
▪️You use their web thing on your phone or browser (no big app to install).
▪️It just quietly sends super basic info: "someone is here right now" with rough spot and time.
▪️Important part this all happens on YOUR phone first. They remove anything that could point to you (no ID, no exact location, no camera or mic stuff ever).
▪️Then they "hash" it turn it into some random code that nobody can change back to your info.
After that, all these little signals from lots of people get thrown together. So instead of seeing one person, it just shows like "this part of the city had decent foot traffic around 6 PM" or whatever. Just the big picture of the crowd, not individuals.
They check for fake signals too so the data isn't garbage, and if you're helping by sharing real stuff you get some $SENS tokens.
I like it because normal location apps follow you around like stalkers. This feels more like just noticing how busy a place is without caring who the people are.
