May was Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, but motorcycle safety is important every day of the year.
As the weather warms up, more motorcycles and e-motorcycles are hitting our roads, neighborhoods, and trails. Whether you're behind the wheel of a car, riding a motorcycle, or operating an e-motorcycle, we all play a role in keeping our community safe.
- Drivers: Look twice and give motorcycles plenty of space.
- Riders: Obey traffic laws, wear a helmet, and ride responsibly.
- Everyone: Stay alert and avoid distractions.
Remember, e-motorcycles are motor vehicles too. If your e-bike or e-motorcycle can travel at speeds over 25 mph, it does not belong on sidewalks or multi-use trails. https://t.co/yzjOATLXy2

Today, the Littleton Police Department had the honor of partnering with fellow law enforcement agencies from across Colorado to participate in the Special Olympics Torch Run!
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is a truly special Colorado tradition that brings communities together in support of Special Olympics athletes and the incredible spirit they represent. We are proud to play a small part in helping carry the Flame of Hope and supporting these inspiring athletes every step of the way.
Thank you to everyone who participated and cheered us on today!
Did you know there are different classes of e-bikes and different rules on where you can ride them?
If your e-bike can travel over 25 mph, it should not be ridden on sidewalks or trails. Knowing the rules helps keep everyone safe.
No matter what you ride:
- Always wear a helmet
- Be courteous to pedestrians and other riders
- Follow posted signs and speed limits
A safe ride starts with you. https://t.co/yzjOATLXy2
"Home of the Free, Because of the Brave."
Today, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.
A traffic collision in the intersection of South Santa Fe Dr & W County Line Rd has the intersection closed and n/b traffic being diverted onto W County Line Road and s/b onto W Mineral Ave. Use alternate routes to avoid delays. Will post when cleared.
340 miles to protect fellow first responders!
Last weekend, three Littleton Police Officers participated in the TOUR de Shield616 bike ride, helping raise money for rifle-rated bulletproof vests for first responders across Colorado.
The ride stretched from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins and back, a true test of endurance, commitment, and heart.
We are incredibly proud of our officers and the genuine passion they have for serving and protecting others, both on and off duty. Their dedication to this profession and to the safety of fellow first responders is inspiring and reflects the very best of the Littleton Police Department.
Great work, Officers Redmond, Newell, and DeVaughn! Thank you to the Littleton Independent for this incredible article. https://t.co/CFpf1aImHc

Reminder: Crosswalk safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Pedestrians: Push the button, wait for the flashing lights, and always stay alert before crossing.
Drivers: Slow down at every crosswalk, and remember: flashing lights mean STOP and yield to pedestrians.
A few extra seconds of caution can save a life.
🚨 What should you do during a siren and WEA test?
For this test — nothing.
But in a real emergency:
• A siren means go inside and seek information
• A WEA alert gives details directly to your phone
Knowing the difference helps you respond faster when it counts.
📅 Citywide test: May 13 at 11:00 AM
--------------------------------------------
