How Livepeer 2.0 upgrades how network pays people, in two minutes.
Four proposed changes: rewards follow the work, anyone can run a node, rewards are scored for honesty before they are paid, and a predictable emission schedule caps LPT's max supply in the future.
Four safeguards for Livepeer 2.0 rewards.
Under the proposal, a node's reward share is capped by its stake share. Rewards pay out 7 rounds later, at the validators' median honesty score. Stake waits 21 rounds to move. And new LPT follows a fixed schedule, so faked fees can't grow the reward pool.

A predictable supply for LPT.
Livepeer 2.0 introduces a predictable emission schedule that caps LPT's max supply in the future. Under the proposal, new LPT halves every two years in a smooth decline, and half of every USDC fee buys LPT and burns it.

Rewards follow the work.
Livepeer 2.0 proposes that nodes earn new LPT based on the fees they bring in, capped by the stake behind them (Min-Fee-Stake). Under the proposal, anyone can register a node: no cap, no bond. Validators score honesty, and delegators choose who works and who judges.
