@philly_captain Yay! Be sure to re edit your videos if they will be on both channels. They can ding you with “re used content “! I’m a silent viewer and also a YouTuber. Best wishes!!
@robertoblake Support tells me I still have invalid traffic even though my whole channel has been on “private” for almost 2 months. This is very fishy. How? Thanks for bringing this up Roberto!
@NickNimmin This is a complete mess. And I know that Adsense money shouldn’t be relied on but it’s still very unfair. All of my videos are on private now yet I still have invalid traffic. Something smells fishy!
@YouTubeLiaison@NickNimmin Tried turning off monetization, deleting videos with more views than normal. Anything to reset the channel and this was my last resort. Also, how are the same creators getting hit with IT at the same time? Weird.
@YouTubeLiaison@NickNimmin Here’s a different look at it. Maybe you can look into this because I have had my entire channel on “private” which means there is no traffic, but yt support tells me they are still detecting it. How is it possible?
@YouTubeLiaison@madhsudhank@NickNimmin How is it possible that my channel still has invalid traffic after putting all content on private? I may have to find a news outlet to speak to. This is ridiculous! @nealmohan
@NickNimmin I resorted to putting all of my videos on private. And a month later, support told me they still detect invalid traffic. HOW?? There’s no traffic at all.
@TeamYouTube Been there already. I’m not doing any of the things in this article. I follow the rules and worked very hard for 6 years. I even got hit with IT when someone else did a reaction video on me. The his is not my fault @TeamYouTube
I want to take a moment to remind our friends @YouTube that The National Institutes of Health (a U.S. govt. agency) studied the effects of people suffering sudden, unexpected & uncontrollable loss of income during the recent pandemic.
Mulitple studies concluded that 'people who experienced financial crises were more likely to suffer from poorer health and increased stress, depression, mental hardship, anxiety, and suicidal behaviors'.
Fortunately, many countries had social systems in place to help buffer these issues impacting their communities.
I want to remind our friends at YouTube that although we are not currently referencing a pandemic, the effects of sudden, uncontrollable, and dramatic loss of income on Creators (through no fault of their own) due to YouTube's own Invalid Activity Detection System responses, puts the exact same financial stresses on Creators.
It's only compounded by the inavailability of any significant Creator tools or systems in place to buffer or mitigate such losses.
Lastly, I want to remind our friends at YouTube that mental health issues surrounding the Creator community is something we've been tackling for years.
This current Invalid Traffic issue for affected Creators seriously exacerbates each and every one of the above mentioned mental health issues.
We're sincerely hoping that @TeamYouTube is not only continuing to listen, but actively working on better solutions for innocent Creators who have been impacted.
Looking forward to hearing more available answers & solutions from you soon.

@graphicious@YouTubeLiaison@nealmohan@scottsilver@YouTubeCreators Another channel took a break for a few months and started uploading again in July. Then her channel got hit with the invalid traffic revenue down. But we would have been better off not uploading at all!
@graphicious@YouTubeLiaison@nealmohan@scottsilver@YouTubeCreators From what I’m gathering, invalid traffic is triggered by a spike in views. It happened to me when I decided to make my videos better and more engaging. Therefore, I got more views. Nothing fishy, just better editing.
