We pray for Archbishop Justin and his family, as he lays down his responsibilities as Archbishop of Canterbury, and for Archbishop Stephen as he takes on some of those responsibilities during the search for a new archbishop.
Today, Justin Welby laid down his bishop’s crozier on the altar, marking the end of his ministry as Archbishop of Canterbury.
Archbishop Justin will legally cease to be Archbishop of Canterbury at midnight tonight.

This wonderful church has supported Embrace since 2012. Embrace's Rev Su McClellan had the honour of both preaching and presiding at their Parish Eucharist on Sunday, where they held a collection for Embrace. 💜

We invite you to join us in prayer, reflection, and action as we work to end all forms of gender-based violence.
“Gender-based violence is not just a social issue; it is a theological and spiritual issue. As Christians, we are called to challenge injustice and offer hope and healing to all who suffer.”

It was great to welcome a group of new bishops to the Anglican Communion Office today. Gathered from around the world, the bishops are taking part in a programme about episcopal ministry. They have also spent time at Canterbury Cathedral.
During the visit, the bishops heard about areas of the ACO's work, including episcopal ministry, unity, faith and order, gender justice, Anglican advocacy at the United Nations, and the work of the Anglican Alliance.

As the FeAST conference continues, our delegates recently discussed many forms of decolonial theological education. E.g. standing up for human rights in Brazil.
Did you know that St. Thomas’ school was founded by Bishop John Chapman, the first Anglican Bishop of Colombo 🇱🇰.
