Best way to support baby Kohen Wiley's family is by offering mutual aid and supporting initiatives to abolish police. His family has asked us all to stop circulating his image. It's not ours to share & this poor family is grieving an immeasurable loss. May they be comforted.
I genuinely think one of the highest forms of alienation is watching your peopleโs suffering become an intellectual exercise for people who will never bear any consequences from being wrong.
What is he to do? I see this tiger plaintively calling for the excavator, this monster to leave his home alone, and I think of the countless times throughout history and our present day as Indigenous peoples plead for their lands to be spared the destruction of colonialism.
This is so egregious even the LAPD press release doesn't know what to do. This "large dog" apparently "charged" at a cop,ย "resulting in an Officer Involved Shooting."
For all we know this dog's last thought was excitement or curiosity at all the cops โ all for them to murder him.
She told not a single lie. A super basic commonsense life skill I don't see children nor teens doing anymore is looking both ways before crossing the street...
That lack of situational awareness speaks volumes to how they're no longer taught how to even preserve their lives.
That neighbor knew what they were doing when they called the cops over a noise complaint because someone was celebrating the Knicks winning. People know what happens when you bring cops into any situation.
Hantavirus, leptospirosis, fleas, other viruses and pests are spreading in Gaza because there's no longer a functioning sanitation system. Children are being bitten and falling sick and there's not enough medication and materials for treatment: this is also part of genocide.
There'll be massive financial fall out from this legislation being passed, the question is how long it'll take them to rollback on it, because they will. They're only thinking of digital surveillance, not the multilayered ripple effects on how it'll impact everything every where.
Thankful I was able to catch an advanced screening of @leviticusfilm tonight! Whoa. Great work! I enjoyed the film. It was also amazing to get a Q&A with the writer and director Adrian Chiarella afterwards.
Thank you @paradiseonbloor for screening the film!

I read The Faggots & Their Friends Between Revolutions by Mitchell and Asta, bc I saw, if i recall correctly, @AfroJediii recommend it as a pride month read. Whoa, what a book.
I'm not on here much but I wrote an essay about how I went from reading a few books a year to around one a week and how it fixed my brain. If you want to read more, but are struggling to, I wrote this for you! link in the reply
